Afternoon all,

Has anybody used the Yorkshire Premier Lounge at LBA since it was refurbished? I fly out to Antalya this Sunday and was thinking of booking the lounge for me and the Mrs as a pre-holiday treat, particularly after my brother flew out on the same flight yesterday and said the departure lounge was full to bursting point!

If anyone has visited is it complimentary food (buffet or bar menu?) and drinks? I've used the No1 Lounge at Stansted a couple of times and really enjoyed it, particularly as it overlooks the runway. The way I look at it is £17.50 each can easily be spent in departures, duty free anyway so you may as well have a bit of luxury but I just wanted to know if Leeds Bradford Airport's lounge was worth the cost!

Hi HE,
The refurbed lounge is OK. Slightly more roomy than before, relatively comfortable and certainly gets you away from the manic departure lounge at peak times.
Don't expect too much in the way of food, however. You can get toast (DIY), crisps, biscuits and some pastries, but not much more. Drinks are fine, with a decent selection. I use it all the time, but have a priority pass card. Whether it is worth £17.50 pp is debatable. I suppose it depends how much you are intending drinking!
Hope this helps.

Cheers AZGAZORD. Hmm, not sure the food sounds up to too much. Could do with a decent feed before the 4 hour flight as I've not booked a meal on the plane! Although if I get my money's worth in beers then I may sleep all the way anyway :drinks:

One to think about!

HE

Just some more added feedback as well, Sunday is the busiest day for both departures and arrivals in addition to the relativley small terminal in Leeds as well - you can guess that people resort to sitting on the floor upstairs as usual.
The £17.50 offer isn't bad as Azgazord posted, depending on how much you wish to eat and drink. It is easy to get your money's worth and a lot of people just go in to get somewhere comfortable and very cool (it has a.c!) to sit. Azgazord has summed up what you get pretty well. You know your going to be comfortable when you go in and it's always clean.
On the plus side as well youngsters, I think under the age of 2 aren't allowed in so a lot of the time its quiet as well.

Regards,
Tom.

It is better than the old lounge with slightly better snacks and much better decor. The drinks and snacks are not the main attraction though, it's the space and peace that scores.
The old lounge had the advantage of letting KLM passengers through to the gate via the back door.
Also,I remember not long ago some servisair guy telling me they were not allowed to serve toast until after 9.00am. The toaster was under lock and key.The reason was, the outside cafe had complained that other pax had to pay for such luxuries and it could take business away. So you spend 30K a year on travel as I did at the time and your not allowed to use the toaster because some scallies on a 99 quid flight want free toast. I was furious but I suppose it was typical of LBA.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
