The Battle of Britain flight Dakota ZA947 is on a test flight out of Coningsby. He is currently working Leeds Radar, carrying out an anticlockwise route around the zone having flown over Harrogate and currently approaching Keighley(1600). He is cruising at between 1000' and 1700' so should be visible to lots of people. Now heading towards Halifax.

If the aircraft is at the right height to join the glideslope at that point then why not. Saves fuel, and that's a good idea right now.
