Reported elsewhere that Flybe (MK2) Dash 8, G-JECX is due into LBA tomorrow afternoon and nearly every day for the next week for some crew training duties.
Lets hope it's a sign of things to come in the future! Judging by the weather forecast it should keep them on their toes anyway .

I don't know if anyone of significance on the board of FlyBe 2 was there for the first version. Possible that Vince Hodder has offered some old colleagues favourable terms for training at LBA.

Given the aircraft and airline in question I wouldn't bank on it turning up given the run around it's given us today on the Flybe thread on the BHX part of the forum.

Worth a little read if you want a bit of a laugh at our combined efforts to track it.

All I will add is that the flightplans are in the system. ETA tomorrow 14:30

Why am I not surprised!
To be honest, the weather further North might not be ideal for crew training by then.

His just starting up now as "BEE44T"
No way it would have come here for fuel only. It could have filled up at Cardiff sufficient to last the day. There must be some other reason. Whatever, it was nice to see our first Dash 8 in. 2 years. I saw it whilst walking near Addingham as it came round on to the 14 approach.

It was on the taxiway for a while near stand 20. When I was near it there was only refuellers there. It was hard to see what was going on from where I was.

Would be nice if they had been taking photos with crew and management at LBA ready for a new route press release!

Here's hoping!!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
