Hopefully someone is in the pipeline to start Seville soon, maybe Vueling? Also Ryanair to Jerez would be a good destination, it would open up the southern coast of Spain, lots of interesting places such as Cadiz would be much more accessible from the Manchester catchment area.

This gives some clarity to the start dates, per routeonline.com:
Manchester – Dubrovnik eff 22JUN17 2 weekly (Day 36)
Manchester – Granada eff 21JUL17 2 weekly (Day 25)
Manchester – Preveza eff 21MAY17 2 weekly (Day 37)

I am awfully jealous of LTN's new EZY route to Biarritz! Perhaps that is one for the 'route envy' thread!

Ryanair used to do MAN-Biarritz some years back. Pity we lost it. More lucrative returns on other routes presumably.

Frequency Reductions: BFS, CPH, HAM, MXP and PSA all seem to lose 1 flight a week.

HAM appears to be going to up to 13 weekly - Saturday with the 1 flight.

Which ties in with this German article

Translation of relevant bit:
In addition to the 2017 summer schedule, easyJet also increases its frequencies to Manchester, Edinburgh, Zurich and Palma de Mallorca. The airline controls more than 30 of the most popular European routes from Hamburg and has a total of three airplanes at Hamburg Airport.

The Hamburg flights aren't new as they have been in the timetable since release.

The Saturday flights don't operate in July and August. Hamburg operates on the basis of one flight by based and one by non based and therefore like the Friday flights back to Manchester are close together so are the departures on Sunday.

I am waiting to see what else EZY have for us as there are still quite a few gaps to be filled

From an impeccable source in PPrune:

"Some extra Easyjet flights added from July.

Not 100% if they are increases compared to last year, but I'm sure someone will correct.

Alicante: 7>9 weekly
Antalya: 1>2 weekly
Catania: 3>4 weekly
Corfu: 4>5 weekly
Gibraltar: 2>3 weekly
Dalaman: 3>5 weekly
Olbia: 2>3 weekly
Split: 2>3 weekly
"

This is great news and nice to see growth to lesser known (but even more beautiful destinations) of Sicily and Sardinia, rather than just the usual Alicante/Malaga growth.

We also have Preveza, Dubrovnik and Granada added this year. Have EasyJet released their winter schedule yet?

Have EasyJet released their winter schedule yet?

Just went to check schedules for a Milan-Manchester trip for friends in December. EasyJet flights on sale only as far as October 28th. Similar situation with FlyBe. Hopefully flights will be loaded before long. Ryanair stealing a march on both of these with BGY-MAN fully-loaded and on sale with nine flights per week.

EasyJet releasing winter schedule tomorrow. Apparently Granada and Palma both continue into the winter (which will help to reduce the sizeable seasonal disparity in destinations from EasyJet).

With thanks to LAX_LHR, Reykjavik, Tenerife, Munich and Prague all see increases. With KEF supposedly being increased to 9 weekly. Coupled with 7 weekly FI, this makes the frequency of this route very impressive.

Anyway, all will become clear tomorrow morning and hopefully we will have some positive news to impart!

EasyJet Schedule Released
Granada goes year-round (2x weekly)
Palma goes year-round (2x weekly)
Reykjavik goes nine-weekly (2x departues Tue/Sat)
Tenerife goes eight-weekly
Prague goes up to daily (after a short period of drop to 6 weekly)
Gran Canaria continues (was originally stated as 'ending' on Wikipedia as a winter seasonal route)

It's not so easy to make overall comparisons in winter because frequencies can vary so much from month to month. For example, I think Basel is daily for part of December but only 4 x weekly in the main and drops to 3 x wkly in Feb. Whether that is different to this last winter, I have no idea. Obviously, where there are frequency increases, and ideally new routes, and no losses, then a general picture can be drawn

I guess the clearest indication will come when ACL publish their start of winter seat comparison for all the airlines which I assume is some months away.

Don't know how some of these stack up against last winter, but for some dates in November,
AMS - 21 weekly (same as s17 I think) Edit: 20 weekly in Jan.
BFS - 19 weekly (17 in s17 but similar to last winter?) Edit: 17 wkly in Jan
SXF - 13 weekly (same as s17)
CPH - 10 weekly (11 in s17)

Then we have some that produce extra flights for the ski season but reduce for some city destinations e.g.:
GVA - 10 weekly in Nov. increases 16 weekly in January
HAM - 10 weekly in Nov. but drops to daily in January (maybe RYR on the route has some impact too)
MXP - 4 weekly in Nov and January. (briefly 5?) (is this a reduction?)
BSL - 4 weekly Nov. but temporary increase in Dec to daily and drops to 3 weekly in Jan. (was daily for Aug/Sep/Oct.)

Further variations Nov v Jan. for mid month dates checked:
KEF is 9 weekly (as reported above) in Jan but 8 weekly in Nov.
TFS is 8 weekly in Nov but just daily in Jan.
CDG is 9 weekly in Nov. but drops to only 5 in Jan.

PRG seems to be daily in both months and VCE 4 x weekly.

Overall, I made it 185 weekly departures based on those mid November dates, and 174 for January. There may well be further variations in Dec.(e.g. Christmas markets) and Feb.
Pleased to hear if anyone has more specific information or how it compares with last winter. Of course, there may be further changes, hopefully additions.

Seen reports that easyjet a first A320 NEO will be MAN based and perform its first revenue flight from here.

Will arrive in June apparently.

From pprune:
"Hamburg base will be closed next summer. Currently there are 3 based aircrafts. Capacity will be cut by 70% - down from 1.5 million to 0.5 million passengers per year"

I wonder what easyjet plan for flights to Hamburg from other bases. This summer, on their web site they show 2 x daily from MAN except Saturday when there are no flights. With competition from Germanwings and Ryanair on the route, how are all 3 carriers performing?

Anymore information on this? I think the NEO is now fully assembled and ready for delivery from Toulouse.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
