Does anyone know when easyJet are likely to release S24 flight-only tickets for sale on their new BHX routes?

They announced new routes from Larnaca to Glasgow, Belfast & Nantes in the past 24hrs, and those are already for sale for S24 on their website and app. Meanwhile, BHX is still only bookable on easyJet Holidays.

Does anyone know why they may be holding off? Testing demand on holiday bookings first? Finalising schedules?

Hope the wait won't be too much longer :) Especially with Jet2 already having S25 on sale, I hope they'll get ahead soon.

TUI also have S25 Holidays at there Travel Shops on Display now I saw it online.

Summer 2025 holidays on sale but no flights to any of the new destinations still from March 2024 !
I really dont understand their reluctance to put these flights on sale |?
Has anybody else had the notion that they don't intend to open the base at all. Anyone who has booked a package will just get moved to another base. With a package you don't get a refund, only a credit to use against another holiday. With a flight only, it has to be fully refunded.
There are other reasons that EasyJet may be holding off, but this thought has started to creep into my thoughts 😕

What about winter2024 .Jeez focus on that easyjet
I’m guessing that the 3 based aircraft will be here for winter if so then here’s my bold predictions.

Copenhagen
Reykjavik
Cologne
Hamburg
Madrid
Oslo
Marseille
Inverness

I’ve noticed some increases on flights for summer 25 :
  1. Larnaca 2024:1 weekly(Sunday )2025:2 weekly (Sunday and Wednesday)
  2. Heraklion 2024:1weekly(Wednesday)2025:2 weekly (Wednesday and Sunday)
  3. Malaga 2024:2 weekly in April 2024(Sunday ,Thursday)3 weekly from May (Sunday,Monday,Thursday)2025:3 weekly (Sunday,Monday,Thursday)

They definitely do still plan a base and all year round as the contracts for the aircrew are 12/12 months and training starts in January and current crew transfer from the 28th March.

Hi there all, regarding the easyJet previous posts, about reduction of routes, do remember that easyJets base is only at London Luton Airport, which is 50 or 100 miles down the road. Perhaps not realising now that HQ is at Luton, which handles 18 million plus passengers, where as Birmingham Airport, just up the road, 12 million passengers, but with Luton airports ex-boss who built them up from nothing, to now handling over 18 million passengers a year, so that leaves a difference of 6 million passengers deficit. So two or three years of easyJet growth and expansion at Birmingham airport will hopefully gain this advantage to close the gap on Edinburgh and Luton, this will then enable Birmingham airport to draw level and then forge ahead, thus surpassing Luton airport, then trying to catch up on Stansted airport, then Manchester airport. So maybe this might be a cautious approach to see how the new routes at Birmingham airport manage and increase further.

The figures for Luton in 2022 show it nowhere near 18 million. 13.3 million at Luton with 9.6 million at BHX.

The problem with ‘catching up‘ or ‘overtaking’ airports is that the market forces driving growth at BHX are the same forces driving growth at LTN, MAN, STN etc.

if would be nice Andrew, if Birmingham's passengers numbers could catch and pass Edinburgh, Luton, Stansted and Manchester in the next 10 years, but realistically Stansted and Manchester, are out of our league, we will never catch them, Edinburgh is a possibility, Luton may only happen if their passenger figures are capped, in years to come!

We had an easyJet holiday voucher through the door about a month ago. I was looking at their Tenerife holidays for next summer and comparing them to TUI and Jet2. Seemed to be slightly less competitive even with the £60 voucher. It does make sense to look after holiday customers first and then release the flights a little later, but they’re also missing out on a lot of custom.
Regarding January cutbacks, might this be temporary as that is maybe when fewer people fly?

Did a little check to have a look at these January reductions. Not sure on the other routes but Milan operates on the 1st/5th/8th January and then returns on the 2nd February so only 3 weeks without a direct flight to Milan.

Not the end of the world I suppose

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
