I have a long wait Jerry and will not be going until July.

All booked forum for my day return plane spotting trip, total fare including pre booked seats £67.98. Cheers Easyjet, we want more juicy orange fares. :)

Woohoo, another Brum X trip report and plenty of photos to look forward to.

I'm going to hold off booking for the moment to see if another route becomes available :)

The price isn't too bad! Easyjet do have some cheap prices if you get in early!
Should be nice and sunny in July!

Just one question though as I was quite surprised to see the return flight taking 1 hour 15 minutes to get from EDI to BHX on a jet ??

It won't. They'll have included taxiing time at both airports. Flying time will no doubt be roughly 50 minutes.

Looking at next summers schedule, there will be 9x based aircraft at AMS - 2x A319 and 7x A320s. On a Monday in summer 2020, all aircraft have a very similar schedule to summer 2019 and all aircraft are kept busy throughout the day, EXCEPT that there is gap on a A320 in the evening.
This gap on an A320 was used for an evening LGW flight in 2019 but in 2020 it has switched to being operated by a LGW based aircraft. This leaves a (BHX sized) evening slot on an A320 yet to be filled. Could we see a 1x daily AMS flight announced soon? (possibly more than 1x daily on other days?).
If this is the case then approximate timings would see an arrival into BHX of around 19:00-19:30 and a departure to AMS of 19:30-20:00. Fingers crossed!

CDG on the other hand has no large enough gaps on a Monday to fit a BHX route in looking at the current schedule.

I think we are assuming CDG or AMS due to the Flybe situation and the fact they need to give up slots if another airline wants them. But as pointed out easyjet from either airport is difficult with the current base availability.
So could it be Milan or Berlin ?
I don't know anything but hopefully there is more to come !

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
