Use this prefix for new threads for Birmingham Airport
Update on the potential takeover bids must be made formal next week or they fail. Clearlake have until close of play Monday and Apollo until Friday,

It looks like the deal is done for the takeover with Castlake dropping out Easy jet have confirmed an agreement of the sale.with Apollo. Crucially Stellios is backing the deal and Apollo have stated they will continue with a plan of continuing growth for the airline. The offer will now go to the shareholders subject to no last minute hitches to approve or reject.

With the backing of Stellios I would guess it gets the nod as he has stated he will remain invested for the long term.what it mean for the likes of BHX I've no idea.

We will have to wait and see how this pans out, but quotes like this are certainly more encouraging...

"Apollo said it was "highly supportive" of the airline's existing strategy, adding there was "a significant opportunity to accelerate the operational and commercial ambitions" for the EasyJet Group.

"EasyJet is a leader in European aviation, having built a differentiated market position through its compelling customer proposition, expansive network and strong brand," said Alex van Hoek, partner and European private equity lead at Apollo."
