We don't know if Monarch A320's or 757's are going to be able to land at LBA using Cat II or Cat III.

Did anyone see how the loads were on the first Munich flight today ?

Prices look pretty good imo, and pretty similar to those from MAN too. I can take or leave Grenoble, but i'm really hoping the Munich route works out, as it looks such a great place to visit.

Munich: Yes a good place to visit and the airports ok too. Can recommend! Hope it becomes an established year round route from Leeds.

Looks like today's Monarch Grenoble will be an A321 (G-OZBT) - it's now on the way down there from MAN.

Has the flight from Grenoble picked up a delay? I can't see it on flight radar and it should be well on its way by now.

Also did monarch get a water cannon salute yesterday?

Not likely with yesterday's freezing conditions. I think they will save the monarch razzmatazz until march when the crew base opens.

Well today's Leeds - Grenoble pax figure is 65. I was a little busy at work yesterday and forgot to check yesterday's flight stats. Someone one here who works for Servisair may be able to find out.

Pax figures will pickup especially after Christmas!

May not have been the final figure but Munich carried 179 on the first outbound flight.

Very good load for the first flight, didn't expect anywhere near that number. Should get better still as the ski season demand kicks in more strongly post Christmas.

65?? The week before Christmas? Christ I hope to god the figures do pick up!

179 on Munich sounds good, Servisair ticket desk told me 98 was on the outbound Munich but they may have been wrong.

That was the figure we had which also came from Servisair but they do get it wrong from time to time. The flight looked busy when it was boarding.

179 on Munich sounds good,

Very encouraging figures. Seems Monarch had done their homework before entering the a Munich market.

Hopefully the route stays strong through the summer season too, but the A320 being slightly smaller should help that.

Yeah 179 sounds more realistic, but it is servisair after all!

Be interesting to see how many is on it tomorrow, with it being a Sunday I'm sure the majority will be coming back from the weekend away so inbound should be good load wise. However 179 on the first day is good. Only time will tell!

I am concerned about the Grenoble figure though, the next few weeks are some of the most profitable of the whole ski season, and Jet2 haven't even started Grenoble yet to dilute the demand! Be really interesting to see how many pax Monarch will attract, Jet2's Grenoble is booked at 120 & 145 for the next two weeks respectively, really hope Monarch gets their pricing right to fill the planes.

It will be interesting to see if the sponsorship deal with Leeds United FC will result in bookings increasing due to the publicity and exposure to Leeds supporters.

Id love to know why airlines love European football so much, its like battle of the airlines sometimes?

I mean, sponsorship wise:

Leeds: Monarch
Man City: Etihad
Man United: Turkish Airlines
Arsenal: Emirates
Chelsea: Delta
Fulham and Barcelona: Qatar
Luton Town: Easyjet
Birmingham: Flybe (not sure if they still do but Im sure they did)

Thomson airways also sponsored a team but cannot for the life of me remember who.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
