Just checked on the Thomson website, it looks like Thomson are taking seats on Monarch on Wednesday's and Thursdays and Fridays with Jet2, whilst the Sunday flight is still saying to be confirmed with flight times:

LBA:16:10 - AGP: 20:15
AGP: 12:30 - LBA: 14:40

Looks like you've jumped the gun Snowman1 without checking as Ap1995 is correct.
The Sunday flight is still showing flights "To be Confirmed" on the Thomson Flight only website. I also double checked the Birmingham - Malaga Sunday flight which this flight w-legs of and its still showing listed as before with Airline "TBC" along with the Friday Palma service, which this aircraft also operates.

To be fair though Monarch do already plan to operate the own Leeds - Malaga scheduled flight early on a Sunday morning next summer 2017 with one of the based Airbus A320's which if i remember correctly Thomas Cook are now taking seats on after ditching plans to use Evelop Airlines..

just done a dummy booking for sun 28 may and thomsons site for the hotel yaramar in fuengirola and the site brought up flight by monarch dept LBA 08-00

Just rechecked for you Snowman1. Looks like Thomson Holidays are only taking seats on the Monarch scheduled flights departing Leeds/Bradford to Malaga on Sunday's running from May 7th until May 28th 2017 only. After June 4th all Sunday Leeds/Bradford - Malaga flights are still showing listed with Airline "TBC" operated on a non based aircraft.

Your requested date: May 28th departure

1 week later: June 4th departure

That makes sens and that sort of thing has happened frequently in the past with seats bought on another operator in the early months of summer season and then thir own aircraft, or owner charter, during the peak months.

Just return from a return trip to Malaga with Monarch after a twenty year gap since my last Monarch flight and a change to this airline after so many issues with Jet2 on cabin luggage.
On our return I remembered my vow of twenty years ago never to fly with Monarch again and wish I had stuck to it.
Priority booking is a joke, I can understand now why passengers in the departure lounge queried why we had purchased, seat allocation booked virtually a year ago are not guaranteed it seems, leg room even for someone 5' 8" is insufficient. Your unable to print your return boarding cards out at the same time as your outboard, you must wait until 28 days to departure. cabin staff were very unprofessional on the return trip.
The lack of awareness of staff is breathtaking. At LBA gate 5 we were as disabled led to the lift to access the first floor. We were then told only stairs to get back down to the ground level again for the walkway, asked how we were going to managed this the girl just shrugged her shoulders. It seems that to go back the way we came by the lift to the ground floor would put us in a loading stream for another aircraft, it seemed the first disabled persons they had met. We were then told our fault as not book special assistance, which we dont need, let those who need have the benefit, we just cant do stairs.
At Malaga we were sat in front of the gate in the disabled seating and you would have thought us invisible, not once did the gate staff ask us the type of assistance we required ( we arrived at the gate 90 minutes before take off time), this has never before happened in all our time flying, we had booked PB, but there was no line or call on loading.
On our return there we received an email from Monarch asking us to rate our trip, there is actually a question did you buy allocated seats and did you received them yes or no, they obviously know they have an issue. Unfortunately having spent 20 minutes filling in the report advised at the end they could not enter into a one to one conversation with my issues, but thanked me for my input.
Unfortunately have booked flight through to Monarch until October 2017, has cost us £200 a flight to change the names on these flights to our children, there going to stand the cost of changing dates/times and rebooked with Jet2.
Ten days before the Monarch flight we flew with Ryanair, what a difference, priority booking observed, seat allocation observed, leg room far superior, disabled assistance wonderful, cabin temperature/humidity perfect on our guages, not in the red, staff supportive and responsive, cabin staff professional

I am sorry that your experience of Monarch was not very good. I have booked them to go to Malaga in the new year, partly on the view of our daughter who flew with them in the summer, but also on price.

Compared to Jet2 and ryanair (both of whom we have flown with recently) their operation is poor and their priority booking service is non existant at Malaga. Your own printed boarding showing clearly your PB status are swapped for airline boarding passes when you book your hold cases in. There is no way to differenciate you have PB on these boarding cards.
No PB queue was formed as no way to know who had the service, we had also booked our seats together, but again we had different seats to those booked which unfortunately I did not notice until in the departure lounge. We booked in over 2 hours to go so not sure why we did not get our seats. I was not returned my printed boarding cards so had no proof of the original seats booked or my PB status.
I accept that the financial issues must have meant good staff have left the company, but the cabin crew were it seemed was under training, this was relayed to us over the loud speakers by the cabin manager. No checking of seat belts at take off or landing and twice during the flight the seat belt sign came on due to turbulence and on both occasions the young baby seated on a parents lap by me was not attached to a baby harness and yet cabin staff walked passed on at least two occasions. I did suggest to the parent the baby belted to be advised she had not got her belt on either.
Our tickets were around £50 each cheaper then Jet2 when booked last year, however, as we did not get two of the extras we booked and the seat leg room poor and I had to breath in to get my table down and a 34" waist, and their control of cabin luggage as poor as Jet2 (other passengers not me this time complaining of the size of cabin luggage), boarding procedure at LBA and AGP very poor, I would need a lot bigger gap in price to chose Monarch.
Truthfully if Ryanair fly early in the day to AGP they will get my business over both Jet2 or Monarch based on my experience over the last 12 months.

Monarch's Winter 17/18 schedule has been released today which is very early and encouraging!

So far we have:

Alicante - Tuesday & Friday
Faro - Thursday & Sunday
Malaga - Tuesday & Sunday
Tenerife - Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday

Looks to be flights everyday now instead of this winter when Wednesdays didn't have flights.

Lets hope they get their Atol certificate renewed at the end of September next year and do not put their customers through the wringer as they did this year.

Monarch announced yesterday that flight only prices will be reduced by 2.50 as you will no longer be provided with ATOL protection for flight only bookings.
In addition its dropping its 3% credit card fee, as Ian Chambers stated" Going to opc means our customers benefit from the protection that credit cards offer, without having to pay extra for it"
EXcellant advice, worth having this protection for free.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
