I would imagine the Malta route has been struggling after the pandemic. I feel sure Malta and Pisa will be back in due course. Meanwhile, scope for additional Malta flights from Jet2. Shame we are not going to see Malta Air though .
From travel agents I know they tell me that Malta is always hard to sell for some reason even before covid started. When Malta was put on the green list demand will have been high but as more places were open that demand will have shrunk. As for Pisa I’m unsure about that. But maybe later on down the line both might reappear as Ryanair are always messing with their schedules.
Ryanair have announced five new routes from Liverpool
What new routes are you referring to?

I wouldn’t worry I’m sure they will be back at some point. Remember though these are operated by Malta air now so they might not have their schedules ready yet or they don’t know their intentions

MLA and PSA ex LBA have now disappeared from drop down list.
Ryanair axed Malta from Bristol (a long standing Ryanair route), Cardiff and Exeter in summer 2021 meaning no Malta flight from anyone in South West England or South Wales until easyJet stepped in belatedly to operate Malta twice weekly from Bristol - now finished.

I read today on another forum that Ryanair has now axed Malta from Belfast International and Bournemouth.

My experience of Malta is that it isn't a place to go for an especially good beach holiday, nor somewhere to go if you want to avoid crowds. Valetta is great, but packed. I would think Pisa might well be the same.

Right now, I certainly wouldn't be booking a holiday in Malta, and I suspect some others may be thinking along those lines too, hence low bookings and the axe on fights from several UK airports.

We still have Jet2 and if the demand is sufficient they could pick up some slack to Malta, although frankly that would surprise me.

Malta has been axed at EMA too, along with 9 other routes, although Pisa is still operating along with a whopping 29 other routes.

Must be hard losing 10 routes until you remember there are still 30 left!

As things stand, this afternoon's flight from Warsaw, due in at 1500, is scheduled to be operated by a Buzz Boeing 737 8200 (MAX 200) SP-RZA, which is the same aircraft that operated 9 days ago... That could change of course, but it proved to be correct last time.

Between January and February that leaves them only operating 4 routes from LBA. This is a big cut to the schedule but it’s worth remembering that in January to February travel demand tends to be lower. Of course covid is around to with countries imposing restrictions which puts people of traveling. Putting them together means low demand.

Times are very uncertain but let’s hope from February things pick up and all these routes are back operating. That’s the same for Jet2
