If so that would be weird as if it didn't peform they certainly wouldn't have operated it through the winter season. To be honest I was surprised it was continuing and thought it would be dropped in the same way as Nantes. If they are dropping it I can only imagine it is to allow the aircraft to operate to somewhere that is seen as a better option - hopefully another new route. Are you able to say how your informant knew about this LUFC Pete or is this another case of someone 'hearing on the grape vine' but not really knowing at all?

Unless Ryanair have had another spat with the French that is, which is entirely possible.

Given that Limoges, Montpellier are already on sale, I doubt that a spat with the French is involved. From what I saw of the Carcassonne flights through the Summer, they were well used, particularly with RL fans travelling to Catalan Dragons. This included the likes of Hull KR and Salford City Reds fans.

I do wonder where all this expansion is going to come from.

salford?? they'd use manchester. huddersfield giants, hull fc,hull kr, bradford bulls, leeds rhinos and castleford tigers would use leeds bradford airport (Fans and Players )

Rhinocrazy would you not fly from where the flights are cheapest? I know i would and the Ryanair flights aout of LBA were probably the cheapest.

yes i would but your main choice of airport if you was in yorkshire would be leeds, hull, donc-sheff. but you could pay for a bargain flight and then have to pay £60 + on peterol to manchester

You missed Wakefield Trinity Wilcats off your list Rhinoscrazy.

I am sure Salford fans would used Manchester first, but I am not sure that there are any flights to Carcasonne from there.

It seemed to do pretty well load wise and it a good access point for the Pyrenees for skiiers over winter. It is however, quite close to Toulouse which Jet2 serve over summer. I would think that it would be the likely candidate though to be dropped, as Montpellier serves a similar region but is a substantial distance away from Toulouse.

As you can see it looks as though a 3rd aircraft will be based but we will require 3 or 4 new routes as on somedays the 3rd aircraft isnt used and we also have big gaps inbetween services.

Hopefully when Mr O'Leary comes to Leeds next month he will have something exciting to announce!!!.

Unless I'm mistaken (which is possible!) it looks like some of the services have been reduced? Malta down from 3-2??
There is no reduction in any routes currently on sale by Ryanair next summer. Malta only operates twice weekly. Same to as last year. We have extra flights to both Malaga and Palma so far. Only Carcassonne that's not on sale but operated this summer. Also been told the Dusseldorf weeze flights will be on for next summer but there not on sale as yet. Heard rumours off 5 new routes to be announced. Whether this happens. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Based on the slots they are holding, Weeze is currently showing as 3 x weekly. Arriving 13:50 from Weeze and departing back at 14:15.

They haven't filed anything for Leeds - Carcassonne

Well it looks like that ryanair are messing with there website again as the LBA Summer 2011 scheduled is on the change again.

As i've just looked at the website the Montpellier and Nantes routes were not on sale plus there were reductions on weekly rotations on routes to Krakow, Palma, Pisa, Venice, Malaga and Murcia. Meanwhile it looked like we we going to have an extra 3rd weekly flight to Malta while the Dublin outbounds along with Carcassonne and Dusseldorf routes were also all on sale.

But just as was about to post this message the Carcassonne. Dusseldorf, extra Malta flights have been removed once again along with the outbound Dublin flights along with the removed Nantes and Montpellier services

So dont take anything for granted just yet guys. god knows what they are upto this time

Just to repeat what TheLocalYokel has already said, basically we need to be waiting for the 18th edition or so before we can really get a good idea of what flights we'll have on offer. It's all looking positive so far so good.

It's doing my head in to be honest. I think I will just wait until next Spring and see what turns up.

It will be the Tues and Weds morning flights that will go. These sectors are flown on the LBA based aircraft so if the reductions continues into the summer, there will be probably be more timetable rejigging to get them doing something else instead.

I will be surprised if any Dublin flights go. Passenger numbers have been really picking up on the Dublin route for some time with many flights going out nearly full.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
