My bee in my bonnet is fully justified - certainly as far as I am concerned There were far too many "likes" to a particular post asking for humour to stop, and some from members I would have expected better from. In addition to that there was a general lack of support for humour again from members I would expect better from. As I have said countless times, as puns relate to a specific topic they can't just randomly be placed in a jokes thread. So for those of you who had noticed, that is why I have gone quiet, which is a shame because on top of the usual high quality jokes that are now missing, genuine info is also not being shared. I am however continuing to read the forum pages, just not "liking" or sharing info any longer

My personal feeling is that the occasional pun is fine, however when in gets to the point where one pun follows another and the threads subject matter is lost - like now - then a line needs to be drawn somewhere.

Problem is when someone posts a pun, many other memebers inc myself are then trying to think of a joke/pun too, it goes silly haha
On a seperate note just out of interest how much space/memory does a post on here use? Im aware vids and pics take up more

Not two much space for posts. Most of the storage space is used by images. You're right though. We're all guilty of carrying on with puns following the first one and it's OK for the odd pun. What we seem to see though is nobody knows when to stop so the the puns run on and on until somebody says enough is enough. Everyone has to remember we are an aviation forum first and foremost and when a thread goes way off topic (as it is now) those who are coming here to read about the thread title (Ryanair in this case) find a long drawnout thread of sillyness. This downgrades the forum content and reduces the ability of the site to make some advertising revenue. I don't want members of the forum to feel they can't post, I want it to be a family friendly place to visit. Moving forward if we can stick to no more than three consecutive puns by different people and then we have a clear break off point. We'll see how that works from here onwards.

I might add, I can generally only make one post per day on a topic, because there is no one else who regularly contribute on the LPL section. It's quite frustrating when something else comes along a bit later on the same subject, but im unable to add it, because you have to now wait 24 hours, which is unfair on the airports that have less followers to my mind. However it's even more annoying when another thread with lots of follows, basically has post after post of jokes.

Specifically to answer your comment, if nobody has responded but you have more to add, you can edit your previous post.

If anybody has any further questions, please use the Feedback forum.

Indeed, but who would be aware something new has been added and that additional information might be of interest to others ?

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 2nd time
