Wouldn't Jet 2 or even easyjet step in instead?

Haven't they done that before, then reintroduced it? I always thought it was a route that did ok. Maybe they've fallen out with that airport too!

BTS still on sale for next summer via the Ryanair website at present (with different days to the winter operation). But I'd be sure that if it's axed, the based aircraft capacity will still be deployed somewhere else.

Himmmm, LBA-BTS wasn’t on sale last time I checked, so it’s definitely a good change.

But the initial slit coordination report for summer 2025 that was publicly released last week shows BTS as a route loss.

I'm sure though that Bratislava is a route that seemed to be axed once before, but then did operate after all.

For me a larger program from wizz on the eastern european routes would be welcome as ryanair seem to chop and change all the time!

It looks like Ryanair are actually in the process of uploading some extra flights into the booking system for next summer.

So far showing for LBA

Bratislava = on sale 2x weekly (Wed & Sat)
Gdansk = Increased from 3x to 4x weekly (Mon & Thu-Sat)
Krakow = Increased from 5x to 6x weekly (1x daily Mon-Sat)
Girona = Increased from 5x to 6x weekly (Mon-Thu & Sat-Sun)

I’ll update if any further increases start to appear.

The Ryanair schedule for S25 suggests the LBA base will be 1x B7M8 and 2x B738s, meaning one of the Max's is replaced with a B738 vs S24.
This is the opposite of all the other UK bases which are seeing B738s replaced with B7M8s.

This is based on the schedule that is currently on sale. There's plenty of time for new routes and extra aircraft to be based yet!

Disappointing & Loss of seats if FR go to x1 737 8200. Also will eat into an extra night slot. I know they have increased flights which is great. Hope for a little more / 4th based.
