This is incredibly sad , if true. I've just looked for next year and you cant book for LBA but you can for, say, MAN. I just hope that it's an error. We need airline competition to keep pricing competitive at LBA.

I would be really surprised if it turned out we were not even receiving Ryanair flights to LBA from other bases like ALC! Really shocked about Dublin flights, a good reason for aer lingus to use an A320 into LBA?

Ryanair have just announced 250 job losses effecting at Dublin, Madrid, London Stansted & Worclaw offices.
No mention of Leeds /Bradford base but dose say further updates regards the uoto 3,000 cabin/Flight Crew jobs losses will be announced by the end of May.

No, LBA are not aware that the base is being pulled (if that is the case).

They're aware, they're keeping it to themselves for the time being, what with the planning application going in. They'll then use it as an excuse to delay/cancel the terminal (should it be approved) in order to save face.

And your evidence is?

Evening all. This all needs putting into perspective. Many companies, not just in the travel sector, have taken a huge hit due to Covid 19 and need to restructure to come out of this as strong as possible. If FR are pulling the LBA base then on this occasion it will be very much for overall commercial reasons but can't believe they will give up DUB. Plenty of scope to use a DUB based unit for that. Yes it could be disappointing but Jet2 won't miss out on an opportunity. Could it also be that FR know there is Orange on the way and they may have thought commercially it makes sense to axe the LBA base. LBA is still not in a bad position at the moment to come out of this. But all airlines can't go on for ever with no flights so if this situation lasts another 3 months then expect some serious casualties. 6 months and then LBA could be in a mess..........unless they can orrange a replacement (deliberate typo). I love the passion everyone is showing for LBA, and quite rightly so, but LBA is not an exception here, it is part of the rule. Great time for a new terminal development because the old one will cope now for a while to come whilst a full recovery takes place, which it will, just over quite a long period. Then the new one is ready to take over....................

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
