Ryanair LBA Winter 2021/2022 update:

The schedule is now showing 13 routes, operating up to 47+ weekly flights to destinations including Dublin, Riga, Vilnius, Gdansk, Krakow, Warsaw Modlin, Wroclaw, Bratislava, Faro, Alicante, Malaga, Arrecife & Tenerife South. As things stand, we see the reintroduction of Ryanair’s 3rd LBA based Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The LBA based crews & aircraft operate a reduced 4 day working week during winter months.

The are still some gaps to be filled. Possibly Saturday Moring and on Sundays.

Ryanair owned Malta Air have taken delivery if their first 737 Max 200, registered 9H- VUE. It was ferried to Dublin earlier from Boeing field, just 15 days after its first (if two) test flights.
It's also the first Malta Air aircraft to wear the new livery.
I wonder if we will see it turn up on our Malta route any time soon?

Positive News is that it looks like the 3rd based aircraft returns this winter whilst we are also seeing some of the axed routes coming back slowly but surely. Eg Vilnius, Riga, Crete Chania, Tenerife & Lanzarote.

Think some more Eastern Europe routes from Ryanair would be a good shout, give Wizz some competition from DSA and go for a different market whilst Jet2 is off for Holiday pax

I think LBA - All 4 Canary Islands market can survive with 2 airlines on the routes. So be nice to see Ryanair back on some winter bread & butter.

@Concorde_LBA I believe Jet2 have Lisbon covered next year. If we didn't have the current crap going on in the world I think Madrid may of been the next city destination too.

As much as that would be good and I hope they add LIS back. They don’t currently have plans to fly their next year though that could change maybe closer to the time they might add it back but for now they only do LIS from Manchester and Birmingham for 2022.

Where as this could be an opportunity for Ryanair to try the route. And could be a successful route with a direct link to the Portuguese capital from Yorkshire.

Just as an aside when do Ryanair normally issue the summer timetables. Leeds, from what I see, is about the only UK airport not loaded up for 2022 and in fact the timetable seems to have been removed up until April for Faro.

The issue I have is that I need to change my booking as 2021 cancelled, for which you are charged the usual fee, but you have to choose the airport of choice of which Leeds currently isn’t one.

Has anybody encountered this themselves and what happens if it’s not available. Do you have to choose another airport as I cannot see Mr O’Leary allowing me to hold the money in account!!

I managed to change my parents Ryanair flights from MAN-ALC to LBA-ALC today and just paid a change fee and not a fare uplift fee, so it is doable. I have read somewhere EMA is not on sale yet but haven't checked the website. LBA always seems to be released later which is frustrating. considering other airlines are getting a lot of forward bookings for S22 and FR - MAN on sale so will be getting forward bookings.

Thanks for the feedback. My problem is Leeds isn’t on sale so I cannot choose that option.

Sadly, it looks like I’ll have to opt for Manchester which is annoying as I live 1 mile from the airport.

GALBA will be happy that I don’t fly from Leeds but instead join the M62 queue omitting more emissions than if I’d have flown from LBIA.

Interesting, parents ryanair return ALC flight in November cancelled and no other flights available, even dec has no flights, anyone know whats happening?

Your right. A guess but maybe they’re messing around with the schedules for the flights but I don’t think they won’t fly there during those months as it’s Christmas time. Would be surprised if they decided not to fly to ALC during XMAS.
