Came home tonight on FR2504….MAX 737 8-200….fabulous flight from take off to landing, such a nice plane…first thing you notice is the split scimitar winglets, very nice. When you board from the front the first seats are 1B and 1C….no 1A which was brilliant as I had booked 2A and the legroom is amazing. Overhead lockers are far bigger and eat hand luggage.
The crew never mention the word MAX…its called a 737 8-200 and the safety instructions on the back of the seat also say the same.
Take off down the runway at Faro was shorter than it normally is despite the crew saying it was a full flight (I saw 3 empty seats near us)…very quiet once airborne.
A very very nice aircraft.

Along with the planned Saturday service to Zadar it looks like Ryanair have been making some schedule changes to the Palma service this summer, with some flights switched to be operated by Lauda Europe's Airbus A320's.

From Sunday March 31st Ryanair will have 2x Boeing 737-MAX8-200's based at Leeds/Bradford Airport for the whole summer 2024 season. The 3rd based Aircraft Boeing 737-800 disappears for the month of April but returns from May 1st and remains based for the reminder of the summer season.

Thanks for the update, how does that program compare to last year, slightly up or the same? Good to see variety inc 5 lauda A320s and 2 new routes, RAK is certainly one id be interested in. Ryanair are fantastic for myself with the large choice of ALC flights, never had a problem with the airline!

I wonder if the 2nd Max is anything to do with recent events relating to the council? Whether it is or it isn't it's nice to have and is a tiny bit of extra capacity

You may recall that the airport said last year we would have 2 MAXs based but in the end, it was only 1 for the most part . Better late than never.

Interesting to note that Ryanair UK are to operate the Moroccan flights yet Ryanair UK has no max on its AOC/register. So will we be getting a U.K. AOC based aircraft or will they swap timings to be Moroccan based aircraft?

It doesn`t seem to matter about UK based aircraft even though they have just put 2 more on register I
would say at that quite a high percentage of flights ex MAN even with RUK flight numbers are EI registered aircraft and to EU countries as well not just non EU or Ireland so no pattern
