A nice video of the Monarch A321 doing a fly past of the hangar. It came overhead whilst I was at work, not aware there was a fly past I couldn't work out why it was so off centre with the runway, now I know

Thanks to flugsnug:

Thanks to HDSpotting (not sure if it is his video based on the comments), an aborted Emirates landing:

Brussels missed landing:

I now kind of realise how poor my videos are and why they aren't getting any views...(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp-EMANpsSE)
A HD video of some action at BHX thanks to rachealmatt:

The best I could find. ;) :D

Great videos, thanks for posting them. If you skip to around 21:20 on the last clip the spray from the 767 is awesome, the Emirates 777 after is quite good also.

Your technique seems OK I think you just need a better quality camera. Have a look through flugsnug's videos for tips on panning and zooming, his/her videos are always excellent quality.

I've got myself a HD camcorder - when the weather is better I'll give it a go and see what I can come up with.

Likewise. ;)

Just in time for the weather to start getting better too.

An interesting clip from flugsnug of a 763 cross wind landing, it made the Telegraph website under the title Scariest Landing

A nice video of the Biman DC-10 arriving, it also shows the new RWY33 threshold and new approach lighting.

I've deleted half the videos from my YT channel because the views weren't budging and the quality was quite poor. At least I've got a new camera to get some views-racking videos this summer. :D Maybe I should go for some sunset/sunrise departures/arrivals? They could look really good.

I thought I'd repost this one for anyone who hasn't seen it and may see it as nostalgia:

BHX in 2005. Back when we had EK A330 twice daily (up til the end of October that year), AI B772, Eurocypria, Britannia etc. Feel free to flog it to the BHX enthusiasts, especially those who are fond of nostalgia. :D

That "scariest landing" video posted a while back has got 8m views now. Here's another very good video from him showing cross-wind landings:

And some nice videos showing the DC-10 final flight in full. I'm kicking myself for not going on it now. Here's one:

I've just done a new video:

I'm actually quite happy with how this turned out, not least because it's in HD! The fence did bugger the earlier ones (TK, Thomson etc). As I moved back towards the higher end of the Long Stay Car Park, the view did get better. The Aer Lingus turned out well, until the take off and I had a bit of trouble with zooming out. The PIA came out beautifully, the Flybe was fine and Monarch came out well too, especially the take off. I didn't even use a tri-pod, I just had to rely on resting the camera on those metal barriers. :) :dunno:

I've just been watching the above scary video again... think I'll give it a miss from now. It's enough to put you off flying. :shok: :s_omg

Great video thanks for posting it :good:

Somehow I missed the three videos you posted before but the first one is a real trip down memory lane, BA, Eurocypria, Bmibaby, CSA, My Travel Lite, Flybe using the 737's, AI using the 772, PIA using the A310, Emirates using the A330 and I much preferred the old blue Turkmenistan livery.

Yeah, you've pretty much quoted everything. :D

If only the other BHX enthusiasts had the same sort of attitude. Flybe leased those 737s I believe, you of course had BA operating their small cityhoppers to London from here, back before they realised it wasn't that viable. AI using the 772 is a good one, I hope we see a return of that in the future. Emirates used the A330 until about June 2009 (for the second daily).

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
