A video I took last week:

Good to see you back :good:

Nice video, I've not been to Sheldon Country Park for a while, I must try and get down over the next couple of weeks.

The shots remind me to enquire whether there was to be a new or improved run-off system. If you look at the new northerly runway at Frankfurt or any of the new Asian / Middle East runways, there are far more opportunities to vacate the runway at appropriate points. Yes I realize that it landed when the airport wasn't hectic but the 777 taxies to the end of the Sheldon runway end. Surely this isn't necessary since the runway extension came into operation. Theoretically the 777 could exit 400 m before the end. This would

1) increase runway usage, perhaps allowing a take-off before the precedence of the next landing
2) reduce noise for residents at the NW runway end.

I know these things cost money but it has always struck me that the improved capabilities / attractiveness to airlines and passengers alike (perhaps ROI?) would be beneficial.

It's not very often I see 777's travel to the end, I wish they did as I've tried to get close up photo's but they usually vacate at 'Bravo'. I think the last one I saw was after it had been raining heavily.

This is the 2030 master plan which shows another turn off just after the old cross runway, pretty useless for a 777.

What is it with FOX news and Birmingham, England. They do talk about us alot dont you think.

Our airport will be famous soon too.

Great nightime shots, loving the lights on the 787.

Also the Fedex 757 only used about 1/4 of the Runway, you dont see that every day.

:good:

That's a fantastic video, to get night shots that clear the equipment must have cost a fair few quid, even so the camera work is amazing :hatsoff:

Highly skilled work that can only be the product of years of practice. Absolutely wonderful and I haven' seen better. He needs to return to BHX! If I were in their management he'd be on the next Comm. agenda thinking about funding a trip for the quality publicity it could bring to BHX if used imaginatively - day or night.

Great footage. Makes a change from the usual daytime footage we're all used to. Lovin the noise of the Fedex Boeing 757 departing!

Some more astounding footage from flugsnug, Crosswinds after dark, well worth a watch :s_yes

A nice collection of short clips taken in May. It highlights what a great spot the new viewing area is

BHX Evening movements.

Loving this video, especially the EK 777 and AI 787 Taxiing to the runway and the Fedex 757 crossing the runway. :) :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
