Wow, thanks Ray. I just loved the dual line up for runway 33 and who could forget the A380. I was there for that.

I've seen triple line ups at that end when there was an ATR departing from TWY C :smile:

I was over Sheldon Country Park when the A380 landed and then I walked up to the long stay for departure as I'd heard that the runway direction was being changed. I'd expected a few people to be there but never expected as many as there were, it was absolutely heaving. The only other times I've seen it that busy was when Concorde was in although there were quite a few for the first 787.

French Air Force A340 departs BHX

Still think this aircraft is ugly. Its those little 4 engines that look silly on a big frame.

The A340-600 on the other hand, is a beast.

Looking fuselage, huge engines and masses of power.

Sadly, becoming a rare bird now.

VS and EY are retiring them, Qatar have re configured them in a last ditched attempt to make them work, and CX/HU and others have got rid of them.

Only LH/IB seem to be keeping theirs going.

For such a small aircraft those Embraers really do make alot of noise.

Whilst I love the sound of the 77W engines I still don't think you can beat the 757 :s_yes Also the 787 is a little too quiet for me.
