I want to be the one to make the post that nudges us past the LBA thread :cautious:

Mmmmmmm yes i know, i think an investigation is needed into corrupt behaviour on the LBA thread. I mean what do they have to talk about on the LBA thread, lol.

There is nothing much going on at BHX at the moment so are we missing something here

To all on the LBA thread if you are watching

Apologies if talked about already, but this has been taken from ch-aviation this evening:

orange2fly basing an A320 out of Birmingham for charters

orange2fly (OTF) (based in Athens) will base one of its two A320-200s out of Birmingham Int'l over the next six weeks where it will proffer extra capacity to the market both for short-term ACMI contracts as well as sub-charters and ad-hoc flights.

The aircraft is being exclusively marketed for orange2fly by Air Charter Service.

“We have brought in the aircraft from Greece until April 10 due to a period of high demand and low aircraft availability in Northern Europe at the moment," Matthew Purton, Commercial Jets Director at ACS, said. "There is also a huge swathe of sporting events coming up – it is the quarter-final stages of the UEFA Champions League and Europa League in football, and the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup in rugby. We know how in demand this sort of aircraft can be for such sporting events."

When Birmingham International first opened it had an old plane hanging from the atrium. Does any one know the fate of that A.C.?

I believe it was on loan from the Midland Air Museum and found it's way back there when the first floor was filled in.

Not sure where it is now?

I'm going to do some thread cleaning this evening. It may result in the BHX forum reducing its post count. :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
