Unless Titan Airways capture some of the football team charter business from T3 with their recently acquired E190 leaving a bit more headroom for T3 to fulfill their KLM obligations. Spookily the Titan machine has been painted into a special “Lionesses” livery to celebrate the women’s England football team winning the recent Euros and flew them back to England. Could be an indication of Titan’s future intentions perhaps.
That is actually a very good shout @Len Fish

I cant imagine they will give priority to football charters. Last season they were probably already committed but I think this time around they have no excuses but to give the KLM priority. Surely not worth risking that contract for a few football charters.

You’d think so but who knows with T3? Wonder if we’ll see more football charter aircraft at LBA now Leeds are in the Premiership? Apologies for going off topic in this KLM thread.
A certainty. London clubs plus Brighton and Bournemouth all tend to fly when playing in these parts and Leeds will too when heading down there.

Leeds should have their own charter next week over to DUB ahead of their game v AC Milan in Dublin. Given the number of tickets sold, its a wonder there's no charter flights for Leeds fans going over. Or are there? The scheduled flights should be packed.

More flights because of Leeds United, those who should not be mentioned will be opposing the plans for the new, improved Elland Road next!
Might just get through LCC planning department if everyone cycles to the matches at Elland Road. More disruption to Leeds roads as new cycle lanes costing millions will be built and another photo shoot opportunity for our beloved WY Mayor.

Interesting move.

KLM Cityhopper will wet-lease 3x Embraer E190s from its French partner Air France HOP! between October 2025 and March 2027,

Is this the end of the KLM & Eastern Airways agreement?

Remember KLM route network is much more than the UK one so it's quite likely these aircraft will be used on European routes like German Airways.

My thoughts too. They could easily be used from AMS to French bases where HOP E190s and crews are already based. Just like Eastern to the UK.
Yep they'll probably operate in a similar way. Might even get to see them operate a few flights into UK airports. That'll confuse some 😆 when they get to the aircraft!

I had heard a few months back that KLM were looking at HOP. My source asked me not to say anything publicly and I had to respect their wishes. Seems they were quite well informed.
It will be interesting to see what, if any, impact this has with T3 although my view is this is nothing more than bringing further resilience into the overall schedule and I am therefore unfortunately still expecting T3 to be involved. More than happy to be proven wrong on that one though

Most of the night stoppers look to be E290's, could this be because they're quieter ? CLEUD related??
Or just part of modernising the fleet and more 290's available

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
