Discussions relating to Liverpool Airport
I'm currently down in Cornwall on holiday until Sunday and will produce my usual report when home.

From a post I've read elsewhere, Liverpool Airport has overtaken Newcastle Airport according to the CAA stats in April. This could be the first time this has been achieved.

Just checking, you refer to the CAA stats in April, but the CAA has only just released March data?

After a wonderful, and relaxing, week in Cornwall it's now time to get back to producing my analysis of the March CAA data.

After being in a meeting with the CEO last week, he mentioned there is more potential on Turkish route capacity. Sun Express have began very strongly, so hopefully more destinations / capacity from them.

My version of the CAA data for April 2025

My comparison of all UK airports - Passenger. Movements and Freight - can be found here:

It's actually post #53, but the system shows it as above!!

CAA data for Liverpool is incomplete and, as such, the movements section is missing - see below:

16 July 2025: Please note, data for non-commercial services at Liverpool Airport is currently unavailable. As a result, Table 3 – Aircraft Movements does not include this information. All other tables are complete and unaffected. Table 3 will be updated as soon as the missing data becomes available.

Good figures. I still find it disappointing how undeserved the Amsterdam route is.

And Amsterdam figures are down is this due less flights
Exactly 1 per day on average, doesn't offer flexibility. Was always 3 or 4

And Amsterdam figures are down is this due less flights
Exactly 1 per day on average, doesn't offer much flexibility. Was always 3 or 4, a retrograde Easyjet decision for passenger choice.Even the 1 per day is 80% LF .

The Egyptian flights have become very popular 92 and 95 % in May.

The CAA has now updated the May data to include movements and as a result here is my final report.

June data should be available mid-month, however I will be away at the time but will produce my usual reports upon my return.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
