We have a Ryanair 737 at Cardiff. Landed early this morning. ETD 10.00. Any ideas on why it’s at CWL. Putting 2+2 together but could there be a press conference this morning……..

No idea. Nothing on the departure board. I think a base is unlikely but I wouldn't be surprised if they announced one!

The FR plane at CWL now is the inbound AGP from last night which must have got cancelled!

It’s scheduled to leave to STN at 10:10

Unfortunately it looks like Ryanair have taken Dublin Summer 2023 offsale. Hopefully it's just temporary for a new schedule maybe with more frequency because the route does seem to be doing well!

This has happened to a lot S23 routes that I have checked today, it certainly isn't just CWL.

Well some good news from Ryanair! From the last week of September Dublin will increase to 5 weekly with the addition of a flight on Thursdays and then from the 2nd week of October the route will go 6 weekly with the addition of a flight on Saturdays then it's back to 4 weekly from the last week of October.

Yep it is good news! Hopefully they'll add more flights for the winter months and it would be great if we got a new route from them!

Tenerife and Lanzarote would be great winter additions by Ryanair.
It would also be good if Wizz could get a ski flight up and running. They are adding Grenoble from Luton and Gatwick.

But they don't have bases there, if they hadn't shut the base in Tenerife then we could still see that route carrying on now.

The only issue with that is Ryanair don’t base in any of the Canary Islands anymore, hence why the ever popular TFS route from CWL was cut a couple of years back…

However there are news articles alluding to them potentially reopening TFS, LPA and ACE bases but they do currently owe the staff who were culled there over €6million in payments.

Even without bases there, Ryanair accounts for 26% of the airline seats on the islands, as well as serving 51 destinations in 13 countries.

So I definitely wouldn’t rule out a return in the future, but it certainly won’t be W22/23.

(apologies Jerry, I was typing as you’d submitted your post! I didn’t mean to duplicate the comments)

One positive out of the Dublin increases again is that there is defiantly a positive relationship between Cardiff and FR now!

For me there’s no reason next summer why DUB shouldn’t be daily and even double daily on Fridays and Sundays!

Certainly something to keep an eye on next summer! Id also like to see AGP increased and operated for a full season too! VY’s prices for AGP September and October are currently eye watering!

I think the problem with Malaga going all season may be aircraft availability on the Malaga side, it may well be that the aircraft used for the route is only based at AGP for June to September or it does the flights due to another route having a reduction in flights just for that period. I suspect for it too go all season would need an expansion of the base there.

Well hopefully they'll reopen the bases and CWL will be under consideration for flights. TFS worked well with them.

Reports in Travel Trade Gazette and Travel Weekly, that Ryanair are to increase flights from 20 UK airports for the winter, so CWL must be in with a chance of something extra from Ryanair.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
