Oh I couldn't agree more... % is the only real way to measure growth in my eye, but there are mean that seem to think that distorts things of "only tells part the story" so for completeness posted both.
Conclusion - BHX had an amazing June!

So basically when we hit 14 million pax at bhx.When did counting start for the aim of 15 million.
Excellent numbers. The best numbers. New numbers. Numbers never seen before, ever. The airport has for 150 years wanted a ball room. And the east tent is going to be a ballroom. No airport CEO could ever build a ball room. Barton builds ballrooms, the best ballrooms....

Gonna give this one more try.For Example When we achieved 14 million pax which I don’t know when that happened.When did numbers restart for Our venture for 15 million.Was It start of this summer season.Think you mentioned a month or go

thank god you will never be an accountant Ant!! - its a rolling figure, based on the last 12 months, so if the airport keeps increasing its passenger numbers, the figure will just keep going up and up, no one on here will know when it will hit 15 million, could be 2027, 2028, 2029, depends how many more flights and passengers we will get!!

The above number is the number from 1st July 2024 till 30th June 2025. A full 12 month cycle....
When the next month happens at the end of July, this will run from 1st August 2024 till 31st July 2025.. Another 12 month cycle...

Matt wow fair play and thank you.Some of those routes have stunned me.Montego bay I’m shocked.Hurghada sharm el sheikh Boa Vista and Agadir I expected to be high range capacity .Just goes to show how easyJet have improved there service at bhx and other low cost and holiday airlines have helped grow bhx numbers.Also goes to show how important is that wizz air to bhx.Also goes base from them would certainly help

Nice loads on Jeddah, given the start of June was when Hajj started for this year, but overall a 62% LF is solid.

I predict the 14m rolling year should be passed in March 2026 (hopefully)
We then need a big push to get this up to 15m and then BHX becomes a 'large airport' in the Routes world.

BHX are predicting an extra 1m pax per year for next 5 years, so on that basis 15m by 31.03.27

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
