Just as it's possible on long haul to fly into one airport and return from another - LAX/SFO is an obvious example for escorted tours and fly-drives - so this can apply in Europe. Instead of a few days city-break, passengers might fancy a two-city longer break. In this instance, Florence might work well with Rome with a nice train journey to link them, although I'm not sure those very early flight times from Rome are particularly attractive.

Years ago, booking return tickets to Europe was the 'norm' - single tickets could be prohibitively expensive, but the advent of LCCs and new fare structures has changed all that.

Edit: If Florence were introduced with later flight times, then of course it would make sense to do Rome first.

As regards the all-too-familiar Spanish routes, I read somewhere that capacity was up 21% this summer but growth only 10%, but I can't recall whether that was a specific reference to MON or the overall picture.

We will see a base, FCO was always planned to remain on away based aircraft. It does mean connection possibilities at FCO are much better.

Quite a lot through the network. Even Spanish routes even though BCN offers them too.

More changes to the Vueling flights, as all BCN flights from 2nd July onwards will use the A321 every day according to the schedules.

Great to have Seville on the departure boards! And strong indications of a Vueling base. FLR would be very welcome.

Looks like Santiago Is also a new route on Tue/Thu but need to double check the timings.

I am currently looking on Vueling's timetable page. How do you know if they are direct or not?

MAN-SVQ is being advertised on various web sites so this one must be confirmed.

It's just working out the timings.

For example, the Seville times are 2150 to 0030. That's 2 hours 40 mins which there is no time for a stop over.

Also, MAN has no flights that arrive at 0030 currently, so, is clearly not a connection based on current route times.

I've seen the outbound Seville on GDS so that's how I know it's off a MAN based aircraft.

The Naples is a connection from the Barcelona flight Ethan.

MAN-BCN departs 1535 and also it doesn't take 3 and a half hours to Naples, it's about 2.45.
