It looks like Virgin have released there seat plan for their new A330 200s that will be based at MAN.
The aircraft will have 19 Upper Class seats with 3 types of suite. The Love suite for the centre and ideal for couples, the Solo Freedom Suite with direct aisle access and the Solo Corner Suite which has extra privacy and a great view.
46 Economy Extra Legroom seats and 222 Economy seats. Also there will full Wi-Fi and free messaging for Upper Class (on Delta Airlines all classes get that). There will be a Premium Economy Class fitted in each aircraft towards the end of the year.

So they’ve turned the fact that they aren’t bothering to refit the aircraft and keeping them in Air Berlin config into a marketing spin?

“Love Suite” Virgin have some great PR tactics!

One thing I did think of - these are Air Berlin aircraft and the business class seats at least are Air Berlin. Whilst the aircraft have been repainted in Virgin colours, will the business class seats still have Air Berlin on them? ;)

Yep they have! I'm not but they might have removed some as i thought Air Berlin had 24 business class seats? Maybe they might have done it to create some extra leg room seats?

According to this site Air Berlin operated them with 19 business class seats.

For those not aware they'd be flying on what was an Air Berlin aircraft, I imagine it would be a bit of a surprise seeing the aircraft in Virgin colours then getting on board and seeing Air Berlin :ROFLMAO:

On a net there is a post saying there is a rumour of a joint venture between Virgin Atlantic and Jet Airways for a Manchester to Delhi route. Its apparently going to be 6 weekly with no Monday flights. Aircraft used will be a mix of A330 200s and 300s and it starts October 18.
The operation will apparently be this
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
DEL-MAN 9W 12.30-17.30
MAN-DEL VS 19.00-09.50
Wednesday, Friday and Sundays
DEL-MAN VS 11.30-16.10
MAN-DEL 9W 09.30-01.00 +1

Hmm. The poster in question appears to be an EY pilot. So info could be from an appropriate source.

VS and 9W do cooperate on LHR-BOM (Virgin codeshare on Jet's three daily services) but not on LHR-DEL where each operate separate schedules.

The quoted flight times have been flagged as suspect - and don't seem to serve either the Indian market (onward connections beyond DEL for a 0100 arrival are poor), or the USA market (none of the services would allow same day connections onto VS flights to the US).

An interesting one to watch, all the same!

Virgin Atlantic reports a pre tax loss of £28.4 million for 2017. A £51 million reverse on their 2016 profits of £23 million. Guessing the Rolls Royce Trent engine problems were the cause of it. Will be interesting to see where Virgin Atlantic go as a company in the future. Maybe more holiday focused from airports MAN and LGW in the future.

It might be worth trying a dummy-booking for your preferred dates on the Virgin website. It will probably indicate what aircraft type to expect on the day. Enjoy your trip.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
