Looking on FR24, I've just spotted a SAAB Lansen heading over the UK. No doubt inbound to RIAT. Not something you see every day.

I’ve found out it’s due to unprecedented demand due to the tracking of SPAR19.

SPAR19 was the USAF C40 that took Pelosi from Kuala Lumpur to Tiawan. Apparently at peak there were 708,000 people worldwide (America is a big place) tracking the flight with FR which is a record number and caused them problems until it landed in Taipei. Working okay this morning.

I tried to get on FR24 about 6.20pm (not to track that flight) and had to wait a couple of minutes before I could get on.

New YouTube video incoming?
That's what I was wondering, but as the aircraft belongs to Gamston Flying School, it's quite possible someone else was flying it. Unfortunately, FR24 does not give a departure point for this flight, so less easy to verify that it was Noel from his videos.

Yesterday, I saw on FR24, 3 Red Arrows Hawks flying (one at a time) from RAF Valley (VLY) to RAF Scampton (SQZ). They flew SE from VLY to just south of Cosford (just avoiding the BHX TMA), before turning NE to SQZ. Today, I've seen one going the other way. I wonder why they are flying this route individually, rather than in formation?

Watching FR24, as the snow causes problems at MAN and LPL. I notice that both LH2500 (A320 D-AIWJ MUC - MAN) and SK4609 (A320 EI-SIP OSL - MAN) have turned around mid flight and diverted back to their starting point.

Just looking at FR24 and seeing two L-159 ALCA's (G-DKND, COUGAR61 and G-DKNF, COUGAR62), out of Teesside and at 15,000ft over the North Sea, East of Hull. I believe the L-159 is a development of the L-139 Albatross.
The RAF recently acquired them and is using them to play the part of hostile aircraft in training exercises.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
