I know its very improbable but I wonder if CWL could persuade Blue Islands or Aurigny, to operate a route to Edinburgh or Glasgow via CWL, it would then give CWL a route to the Channel Islands and more capacity to Scotland.

The meaning was that they should use the flights that are available. If they go out full, they will increase the frequency and offer new routes. If airlines can make money out of CWL, they will operate the flights.Unfortunately if the airlines refuse to provide the product people have no other option to look to England
Certainly. Italy or France would be my first guess.I know it's not likely but I wonder if the Welsh government would be better off looking at some of deal with Ryanair similar to one they had with Qatar Airways to market Wales as a destination and maybe target certain inbound markets.

I flew with Sun Express to AYT back in March. Great service, comfortable flight and I'm going with them again in June. Hope they start from CWLWould be great to see SunExpress at Cardiff
Why Turkey's SunExpress is ready to make its mark on the UK after 35 years
The Turkish carrier’s chief executive, Max Kownatzki, caught up with TTG this week to outline his plans for UK market expansion off the back of a big aircraft order that will see the airline’s fleet double in size in less than a decadewww.ttgmedia.com
that’s now the last two they havnt attended. It’s like they have given up.Worrying indeed that CWL is not attending Routes Europe in Aarhus next week…

Routes Europe 2024 will unite decision-makers from airlines, airports, destinations and aviation stakeholders that are invested in the future of European air connectivity.www.routesonline.com
I'm sure that they haven't given up and i suspect there must be a reason why they haven't attended but also if you look at tourism authorities Visit Wales isn't attending nor is the Welsh government (Scottish government is listed). Also it's possible that the staff from the airport may well attend but just not be one of the official attendees.that’s now the last two they havnt attended. It’s like they have given up.
Then that's double worrying that neither of those are attending either!I'm sure that they haven't given up and i suspect there must be a reason why they haven't attended but also if you look at tourism authorities Visit Wales isn't attending nor is the Welsh government (Scottish government is listed). As CWL94 says, as mere observers, it does appear CWL has just given up (on the face of it).
Am not sure just milling around at an event like Routes Europe will be successful...
Anyway, who are we to comment eh? I guess we just wait and see as usual
On another note, CWL have just posted a video on their social media a short 30s clip of what appears to be icebergs with the title "Fasten your seatbelts..."
This would be very "out there" for CWL, but also very exciting.I’m hazarding a guess that it might be Play to KEF
Was just going to post about that. It does suggest something possibly a Artic cruise or maybe Iceland?
If the post elsewhere is right then it looks like Play Airlines to Iceland.
I personally wonder if that will be helpful for a potential future Ryanair base as they have a relationship with Caerdav and any possible expansion for TUI through a 2nd based Avion Express in the future.Having line maintenance available at CWL with Caerdaf, may persuade some airlines to give CWL an opportunity.
