Don't think I can take this as serious now after there recent replys on both Facebook and Twitter accounts. Looks like they maybe having problems getting set up as things were to be officially announced this month. Saying they still have a week left of November.

Twitter discussion as follows regarding why LBA was choosen over DSA.

Q:mad:ExtrajetCEO Good luck with the operation from Leeds-Bradford, any reasons behind not choosing @DSA_Airport? #AvGeek #Yorkshire
A: @Photos_CS @DSA_Airport Because we are not in the cargo business
?

And then this on Facebook about the website which is to be launched sometime this month.

Q: early November... it is today the 12th.. when can we expect some news?
A: As soon as the good old British bureaucrats get moving!

I do keep hearing positive things about an airline that use to operate into LBA returning though, as they have just lost the British Aerospace flying contract to a rival UK airline.

The guy behind Xtrajet seems a very arrogant person.

not only posts like the ones above! but I have seen lots of standoffish replies from their account.

One post stated 'which regional airports in the UK would you like to see us fly from'.

Someone put 'Liverpool'.

The reply came

'If we wanted to fly from Liverpool. Don't you think we would have announced that, we are flying from Leeds not Liverpool'
Another posted:

'What business case do you see for Leeds-Antwerp?'

The reply was:

'I don't appreciate questions about my business plan from amateurs!'

Both posts since deleted.

Sounds like a lovely chap, hope he does some of the customer service side of the business too!

For a company wishing to appear serious to professionals (who are likely to be the only ones willing to fork out the fares suggested), I thought the choice of words used on their Facebook page to describe their proposed new website to be also somewhat innapropriate.

Ok.. here is our temporary website, up until our new Kick Ass website is finished and online at the end of the month.

Never going to happen is this. No website, no advertising, no marketing and all due to start in March 2016? no chance! And no professionalism or customer service skills. Look at the replies on FB/Twitter looks like a reply from a 16 year old!! Lets just get BMI regional back!!

post from August on PPRUNE

BMI have confirmed that they have never heard of Extrajet and have no plans to lease out the 2x 135....

Has the boss at Extrajet being reading a book on how to p**s off passengers written by the MD of a certain well known Irish airline? Those answers are right up his street. Still an airline I will believe when it actually happens. LBA claimed to know nothing about it when I spoke to them several months ago.

ExtraJet is nothing other than a paper airline at this stage. I will be flabbergasted if it ever takes to the skies.
IF they are genuine, I wish them every success.

Yeah totally agree white heather, LBA should start trying to pull well established airlines in instead of going down these made up airline route!

You are right with what you say but I think it's what annoyed us most about the Flybe situation as LBA is quickly running out of well established airlines to pick at.

Good point aviador! Its just very frustrating when you see the likes of BHX,MAN,DSA,LPL all getting new routes/airlines every other week!!

The likelihood of longer-established airlines such as British Midland and Flybe taking LBA seriously are remote considering Bridgepoint don't appear to take LBA seriously.

Oh my, this is pure fiction!

His business plan is flawed - £2million funding wont see him past 3 months with what he is promising.

The yield operating 2 x 37 seat ERJs on lease from bmi hahaha!!! Every sector would run at a loss even with the low fuel costs just now.

Not to mention he is offering "parking & inflight entertainment " - what does a business passenger want inflight entertainment for on a 50 minute flight to Antwerp?

The website is created on WIX lol - a huge indication of the fictitious nature of this new startup.

My sentiments also. I pointed out what you said about WIX a few posts back along with a couple of other anomalies. Like everybody else, I'd love to see this get off the ground but so far everything is pointing towards it been yet another "paper airline". At the moment it's got Excelsis Airways written all over it.

The CAA are probably finding the same issues with Extrajet as everyone else is. In other words, they look at them as a set of cowboys too.

If the business arm of Extrajet is dealing with the CAA in the same way that they have been dealing with potential customers over the last few months (rude, dismissive, incoherent, poor general attitude and with a rash of spelling and grammatical errors) they will get nowhere with the CAA.

Rightly so.

Any more news on this airline??

Absloutly nothing has been posted or updated on eithere there Facebook or Twitter accounts so far this year.

Even though I was all for this new Extrajet airline to get into the air when it was initially announce last year, I've now got to admit that I just don't see it happening. Especially if an unnamed airline starts a rumoured Brussels service....

Damn, damn. I was looking forward to using their chauffeur driven limousines from Antwerp to Brussels having booked it using the free, on board wifi....

Company headquarters set up in the backroom of a Leeds suburb house.

CEO based in an unspecified location in Europe.

Planned to borrow BMI aircraft. BMI had never heard of them.

Planned to use LBA. LBA had never heard of them.

Planned to use Antwerp when people want to fly to Brussels.

Planned to open a new "kick ass" website at the end of October. No such website ever appeared. Nor has there been any communication since.

Treated everyone he spoke to like a piece of garbage.

I could go on. LBA has its problems and challenges and does not need to add to them by dealing with a fantasy airline that exists only in the mind of a spoilt venture capitalist. If he exists himself.

I think the writing is on the facebook wall....

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
