Thomson holidays are to operate weekly flights to Tenerife winter 16/17. Flights will operate on Mondays.

Confirmed today that TFS will continue May-Oct 2017, I believe the first TFS route in summer for many years.

Many more destinations need replacing, namely IBZ, LCA, LPA and AGP, hopefully not too much to ask for in the coming years.

At least it's a bit of good news to start.

Thomson seem to have trouble finding summer capacity for airports where they do not maintain bases. There is no shortage during the winter months and Thomson are now taking bookings on their Humberside/Tenerife South route for the season which runs from November 2017 until April 2018.

Is it that or could it be a case of it's harder to provide crew and engineering cover? :geek: Is there anyone out there who works in airline ops who might know why?

I think definitely scheduling issues, only a finite number of aircraft (owned and leased) and understandably the larger stations are where they're going to put them.

Initial S25 now showing an extra PMI bringing a grand total of two TUI flights. Operates Tuesday and Saturday. Obviously it’s a long way away yet so anything could happen in that time but at least there is some slight movement in the right direction. Judging by the way the Tuesday flights have sold then I’d expect the Saturdays would sell even better, plus it adds option of longer stays.

I wonder if TUI will ever add flights to like Tenerife or Dalaman from HUY
Unlikely whilst the DSA saga continues. Should that be put to bed then there might be some intention to increase the offering, but actually whilst Humberside remains owned by a company that doesn’t even know it exists, and is managed by people that are looking after their pension pots, I wouldn’t hold your breath!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
