End of an era at Solihull with the Discovery production shifting to Slovakia. Hopefully not many job losses.

St Andrews to be know as St Andrews Trillion Trophy Stadium from now on well good luck with that it was St Andrews yesterday and will be tommorow. All our local clubs Blues, Villa Albion and Wolves are long rooted in there current stadiums and all have developed them to a greater or lesser extent but retain the feel of proper grounds unlike so many of the complete new builds others have done. I know I'm a bit of a traditionalist but there you go and at least it retains the St.Andrews name.
They've also messed with training ground now known as the Trillion Trophy Training Centre so all we need now are some decent players and a trophy or two.

Brum X has today purchased a brand new digital camera to replace my old mobile phone camera (It has served me well). Dont be expecting lots of pics this weekend, it will take me ages to work out how to use the b-oody thing, lol

Brum X is always looking to improve his photographic skills :snaphappy:

I had a Panasonic Lumix a few years ago and it was a fantastic bit of kit, one of the best cameras I have owned. I'm sure once your are up and running we'll be treated to some fantastic pictures :snaphappy:

Particularly good for taking pics of cranes I'm told. Only joking BrumX. You know that. I love your Birmingham pics. Keep 'em coming with the new camera.

That looks like a good piece of kit, Brum X! I'm sure you'll be having fun with it all weekend. That's the great thing about digital - you can practice to your hears content and it costs nothing.
One thing I would advise, is to get a filter (I usually use a 'Skylight'. or UV), this doesn't make much difference to your photos, but it does protect the lens from scratches. It's far cheaper to replace a filter than get a lens repaired.
If you have any questions, drop into the F4A Photography forum. There are lots of people here who will be happy to give advice.

Looking forward to you photos and movies!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
