Now many Blues fans would say some nasty things about the Villa. I will not: I wish them well tonight and hope they get a darn good result to bring back to the Park in two weeks. And get to the FA Cup final, and win that.

At the end of the day, it is the city of Birmingham that comes first ahead of the footie, but in footie terms City tops for me, then every other club, big and small, professional, amateur or kids playing volleys in the park or a two year old kicking a ball in the back garden, and then the Villa comes next. The luv is there in microcosmic form, but the nastiness is not

100%

We have a bit of a laugh but I want all of our local teams fighting it out at the very top. The football in our region has been lacking for way too long.

I support Leamington FC and thankfully we have secured mid table in the National league North. I do agree with what everyone has said in regards to local teams being back in the big time. Would be nice seeing both the Blues and the Villa doing well in the Premier League

Hey everyone, hope you're doing great! My friend and I are racking our brains trying to remember the registration of a plane that got hit by lightning and was grounded back in 2023. Any chance someone knows what it was?IMG_2097.jpeg

Hi mate good to see you today back on here.

The Reg of the aircraft was
EI-EGB B73H FR1121 (RYR62WF) FR1122 (RYR32ZM) Tenerife
My friend had a different registration in mind, but I recall it being the one we just discussed. I remember coming off the aircraft and seeing a noticeable hole in the nose cone, and the engineers couldn't even find where the lightning exited. It resulted in a massive knock-on effect 🙃 .

Departing Frankfurt back to Birmingham yesterday all pax were called up at the gate to do a pre boarding document check, passports and boarding passes. We were then given a piece of paper confirming it had been done which we had to hand back when boarding before then scanning our passes. This was around 30 mins before the boarding time.

Anybody else experienced this before as it's the first time that I've ever had to do it?

Feel so bad for airport action as this is their prime airport to stream from.
They have been kicked off
The mound
Car park 5
NCP elmdon
Construction site where they have just been kicked off by airport police which is not owned by airport property

Only options they have

Sheldon country park
The new A4545 slip road part
Lea hall bridge garrets green industrial estate
Email airport staff

Whilst on the subject I think it's worth reminding people to be vigilant if they are in Sheldon Country Park with expensive camera equipment. It was reported on this forum a couple of years ago that a member got attacked by a group of those idiots on motorbikes :(

I'm not surprised they have been told to move off a construction site they shouldn't be there in the first place and I assume they need airport permission to stream on airport property who no doubt would recite security issues.

Having said that a proper viewing facility like we used to have when the terminal opened would nice but UK airports in general are set against it with MAN a noticeable exception and they allow streaming.

Oh for the days of the Heathrow Queens building roof viewing area.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
