Brighton is claiming to be biggest , I think Manchester is up there too and I think Liverpool also claim it

The point I am making Mullion is that something has grown to be so large with so little national publicity through the national media. If others want to make the same claim up to them.

Sponsered by MAG lol! who now seem to sponsor all the major pride events north of Birmingham now
Wouldn`t say who`s best as that is in the eyes of the community
Just looked London pride is biggest by a country mile with more than the rest of country put together

Mullion i have to ask if you have a problem with anything outside of the North West? Does it impinge on your ability to enjoy comments made by other posters that promote events, action and anything else further south?

Glider Path made a valid point 'are we allowed any enjoyment out of local events without someone raining on our parade or is that to much to ask?'

Whether Birmingham's Gay Pride Festival is the biggest in the country or not is neither here nor there; to Ian Butty perhaps it is - and i for one am happy with that and do not feel the need to snipe at his comment. Being pedantic i might also point out that in his post Ian used the expression 'largest such festival' and i for one do not know the criteria he was using. But in any case does that really matter.

I am sure you will feel the need to reply (you have already posted twice) but for once just leave it. You've had your say and we all know what it is. We are happy down here and want to stay that way. Peace and love, get it?

Just like to be correct, I would love to say Manchester was biggest but I know for sure it isn`t infact only London comes into top 50
world wide and London is only a 1/4 of Rio de Janeiro at 4.5M which is more than the population of Birmingham and Manchester
put together

As someone who was on the gay pride marches of the mid 80s and experienced abuse and spitting from onlookers with police just keeping order, but doing little else, it is heartening today that we have left this hopefully a long way behind. Its nice to hear that people enjoy it as a celebration to gay life in this country ( and we are lucky, there are plenty of place around the world Brunei for one, that are highly unsafe). So I thinks its best we just enjoy this freedom and open minded thinking at last.

We know you would Mullion whether its Gay Pride, construction projects, football teams whatever.
Frankly if somebody posted on here that Birmingham was the most dangerous city in the U.K I would expect a response that no its Manchester. It.s starting to become irritating.

I certainly would not disagree with you on that , but getting facts wrong is irritating also but hey ho

Mr Mullion is at a loose end. His team have just won all known competitions, and their U21 and youth teams are to be drafted into the Premiership next season to provide some competition, at the expense of the championship third side and their neighbours United. The latter are to be relegated for bringing the game into disrepute due to their being an obscene waste of space (and of money - their £18trillion weekly wage bill).

Dark blue my friend always have been always will be and thank god never a red
never been to the Etihad only the Bridge and I have been to most of your local grounds over the
years

Being a City fan is really nothing to be ashamed of - most are proud to 'belong' to by far the best outfit in the country.

Not saying it isn`t but as I have supported Chelsea for 53 years don`t think I will change, my second club is Stockport County
Interestingly I have actually worked at Old Trafford but still don`t even follow them let alone support them.
Who do you support by the way?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
