I had one once, sound ominous?! Mine actually did really well for a couple of years then we had a really cold winter and it killed it. I would definitely recommend covering it up with something like bubble wrap or something like that during the winder months.

Oh I do, I even go the extra mile, when we had those 2/3 weeks of bitter weather in December last year, i wrapped the trunk with my woolley scarf and placed hot water bottles (warm water) around the tree, loooooooooooool. I used to go out every 4 hours during the night when it went down to -4/-5 to place anopther warm water hot water bottle against the wooley scarf. No British winter is going to kill off my palm tree. ;-)

Let's just say it was nice and snug and survived weeks of temps that hardly got above 5/6 degrees in the day here in the landlocked midlands.

After reading some recent posts it seems as if we have several people on here with ties to the Walsall area so I thought I'd post this Ryanair video, skip forward to around 8:00 for some great views whilst circling overhead :)

I'm off to try and dry out from a very soggy week in Cornwall.

I always wondered what the Passengers see when they fly over here.

Great win for Blues today, towards the end of the game I was thinking what a good point it would have been so to get three is a real treat.

It's nice to see such optimism returning but I'm not going to get ahead of myself. A couple of seasons of solid mid-table finishes will do me, we can then think about pushing on.

Some of the new signings look very good, just need a striker now.

Great day for local football obviously with Blues but also Coventry Baggies Walsall Moors & the Villa …. Oh no they lost !!
Darlo also drew my local non league side. They were away on the first day of there league season. They have a massive game next week against Hendesford in the FA Cup at home. First time Darlaston have got to the Perliemenary round of the Cup. Albion might have won but we made that hard But if it was easy it wudn't be Albion

Random Question but the other day I was at the Pub and they had Sky as most do these days and had it on multiple TV's, My Parents ran pubs but I can't remember us ever having Sky if we did I think the Landlord paid for it whilst we ran the Pub and lived above it. But anyway a Mate asked me how do you set up Sky muti room as I believe his Uncle is looking at opening a pub and running Sky and BT. I told him I have no idea I was a kid and If we had Sky we never had it upstairs. I tell a lie I think I remember it once to see If the Dish worked and it was back with the old Sky boxes that needed the Card as I remember a BBC Channel that I had never seen or something like Alibi coming onto the TV and I was asked to see if it worked. Anyway I said I was a Kid I Don't think we ever had Sky and if we did I think the landlord we worked for paid for it as it was already installed. But I said I would ask. So does anyone know how you would get it to work I think the Pub has an Outside rear Bar building separate to the main Pub so I assume that would have to it's own Dish even though it is right next to the Toilets of the main building it had to have it's own aieral. There are three rooms I think a Bar, Games Room/Snug and a Lounge the Bar I think has Six TV's, the lounge 2 the Snug/Games Room 2 and the Rear Outside Bar Four. I have seen Pub's with 1 to 3 Sky Boxes for 5 TV's but they are under the Bar and the TV is in the corner or far unless they are running long HDMI Cables I'm not sure how it works. Does anyone know. I know at home as I asked if we had Sky we have a Dish from the old people that you would have the Main Sky Box downstairs and then a Splitter or mini box with either a cable or aieral cable connecting to the TV's upstairs or via WiFi but assuming a pub being commercial is different. It has the Dish or two believe the Big un is the one I believe connected to the downstairs TV the previous people had Sky illegally showing and it looks like it was Multi Room at one point possibly before the previous owners but they did it illegally so it would need to be done legally ie the Pint Glass in the corner.

Good video that.

If it helps people follow along, here's the route it took;

I probably saw that plane fly over me I have FR24 I know the routes they take for them to fly over the Walsall approach they turn left from Coventry go over Edgbaston over West Bromwich then over Wednesbury crossing the Sandwell border into Darlaston then they even start a turn or fly over towards Darlaston Green/Bentley/Willenhall and turn over what I call the Green Dragon approach as they turn over the Green Dragon Pub or near then behind Darlaston Asda near to the old Football Ground before flying over Walsall and Sutton Park. They sometimes turn over Wednesbury or miss my house however when I'm stood watching Darlaston play at Bentley Pavilion behind Showcase Cinema/J10 I see them fly over there and turn over J10 or fly from Willenhall over J10 behind the trees following the Wolverhampton Road from J10 to Walsall. They do different approaches over Darlaston some go Twoards Moxley and then you see them turn over the A454 Black Country Route and Bentley I sew them from my house coming from George Rose Park way flying straight before turning to my right if looking out the front. They sometimes as EK37 dis last Thursday fly over Wolverhampton Street so near to Moxley but not quiet and start banking over the back streets for them to be possibly over Darlaston Town Centre some Irish Flights if on 15 fly over from the A454 Wolverhampton Bilston area turn I can tell there far as I can't see there Beacon Lights just the front main light then they fly over straight from my window and turn to my right on 33 they fly over straight and persumbably do the 15 approach in reverse. Occasionally if they fly over Aldridge and it's clear I will see them to my right over the Green Dragon Approach sure I saw an EK A380 that way before.

Also unrelated but I just realised the Smartwings tail looks like the away sleeve Pattern on Swansea City's away Kit Swanseas does look like a union Jack if Orange but also Smartwings tail. I'll insert image if I can in a minute.

Slightly different shade of Blue to how I saw it on Fifa but could also be my phone but it is very similar

FR24 at its finest. The aircraft is operated by Cityjet, which may have confused FR24.

Cityjet own the aircraft EI-GEC, CR9, and it has been on lease to SAS until the 15th August when it transfered to Brussels Airlines, could possibly be just a short term leased and may return back to SAS, or its just a case that FR24 hasnt updated it records since the 15th August

The Other day I was watching YouTube and I got a TUI advert that advertised it's destinations one of which was New York. Do TUI Serve New York From the UK I don't think they do. So who is there Partner assuming they are advertising you can book with them to New York

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
