Looks like more Tui nightmares.Sunwing airlines being towed to Maintenance STS hangar.Be aware of more wet leases

Nope, one of the Sunwing aircraft is always scheduled for maintenance on a wednesday afternoon/evening, so afters its 16:10 arrival from Kos, its always towed to STS, and its then back flying early Thursday morning.

TUI have entered or are to enter a partnership with enter air taking a minority stake in a newly formed ACMI to be based in Ireland. These will take the place of some existing ACMI aircraft TUI use but will still use other ACMI operators.
It is cheaper to use ACMI during the summer than owning aircraft that would be sitting on the deck not used in winter.

Next year willl be interesting as WestJet have now taken over Sunwing, so none of their 737s will be operated by TUI next summer, and having already indicated we wil get an extra aircraft next summer at BHX, looked like we maybe seeing more Avion Express/SmartLynx A320s, and ever GetJet 738s next year, hopefully TUI wil also have a few more Max's in there fleet too.

interesting, so I can image the 2 TUI aircraft at Dublin next summer will be 2 Enter Air 738s, or even Maxs? Will we therefore see Enter Air aircraft based at the likes of BHX, CWL, NWI, BFS, EMA instead of Sunwing summer 2024?

It seems 787 has been taken off LCA flight tomorrow (3/9/23) and replaced by a GetJet aircraft. Strange as according to friends booked in flight back 787 seat map showed it quite full.
Any thoughts?

Two Getjet's positioning into BHX the early hours of tomorrow to operate the Malaga and then the Larnaca. An A321 and a 737.

TUI have done this several times at BHX this summer, our 788 usually gets pinched by MAN, usually indicates they are short of a 788 or 763. G-TUIA 788 has only re-entered service today, after being hit by lightning 2 weeks ago!

Interesting. Last week both flights were 787. Are you saying they are putting two aircraft on each route to carry what the 787 could carry?

Just seen Flightradar updated both Malaga and Larnaca are showing as a GetJet 737. Just wonder how they are getting everyone on?

Yes, two aircraft will replace one 787

looks like out short haul 788 G-TUIF is actually operating TOM7740 to Tenerife South at 16:55 instead of a 737 today, wonder if it down to crewing issues after last weeks ATC issues?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
