Been following this for most of the day. The latest post on another forums says the arriving aircraft at MAN not even be parked up on the stands.Hopefully by the morning it be all clear one way or another. Really hope the Monarch brand survives otherwise it will be one big tragedy.

On the BHX departure boards the first two Monarch flights of the day (ZB932 to Tenerife and ZB982 to Funchal) are showing as "check-in" along with the rest of the 6:00 departures.

Same here at LBA, check has opened for the 06:15, ZB1260 to Dalaman. "DESKS OPEN A10-A13"

At 03:00 this morning there were 8 MON aircraft on the deck at BHX.2 on stands/gates the rest on remote stands. This however is not unusual at BHX.
Check-in seems normal and business as usual!!

ZB982 and ZB932 are now boarding at BHX, in fact we have last call for ZB932.

MON1260 to DLM from LBA has been allocated a gate with passengers boarding the flight.

Flights to TFS, FNC and FAO departed as normal, BCN showing gate closed, Palma, Alicante and Rome all boarding, Lisbon final call and Malaga gate open

It still doesn't explain why all of these aircraft have been positioned around Europe but I suppose all will become clear in the coming hours.

Lets hope that is now the end of it as rumours such as this can do untold damage to a company.

Great news about potential investment, I hope that Monarch have a long and happy future

We're not out of the wood yet because carriers have, in the past, kept operating as long as they expected investment to be announced, only for none to materialise.

It has been speculated, and I stress only speculated, that the charter aircraft set up by the CAA may have prompted an emergency injection of funds to keep Monarch alive until an investor can be found. The aircraft would still be there to fall back on if something went wrong.

There are no wood that MON are in. The airline is on the final leg of a MASSIVE turnaround campaign, and as with every such process, it would appear that an investor has been found.

Whilst rumours and speculation are inevitable, and this is a rumour thread, can we please take the following FACTS into consideration before more speculation!

1) Monarch IS in a massive turn-around strategy following the purchase by GreyBull. All evidence (financial statements etc) suggest this is going well. They are after all expecting to turn a profit this year (earlier than expected)

2) Monah has just announced significant expansion with new routes and the delivery of new leased planes.

And more importantly...

3) All of Monarchs UK based ARE operating as normal! Something a few hours ago many were doubting would be the case.

Now, something is/was going on that we don't know, and the above does not guarantee an airline is not going bust, but can we now have some context and restraint on this topic going forward please!

1+1=2 is fine, but 1+1=7 is unnessasery, damaging and unduly stressful and insensitive to all employees involved!

I read on 23rd that Monarch and EasyJet were in a head to head over who would buy TUIFly!

I much more suspect we maybe hearing more about an investor into monarch along the lines of the HNA rumour maybe?
