Winter 20/21

EK website shows BHX as 4pw x 77W too

MAN is 2 x daily mix of 388 & 77W

NCL is 5 weekly on EK website

EDI daily bookable
Greater frequency at NCL than at BHX?

Yes - as it stands !
Hopefully it will change ?
I guess it is the case again of Midlands pax can easily get to LHR / MAN

But some of this doesn't make sense, both NCL and EDI haven't been available until the start of winter but GLA and BHX have but then both NCL and EDI have higher frequencies than both GLA and BHX in the winter ? GLA is also x4 weekly ? NCL passengers can also get to EDI/MAN easily ?

Is there something in Newcastle that gives Emirates a reason for the frequency indicated? BHX had 2x A380 daily for a reason which appears to have gone temporarily but still requires B777 4 weekly so is it belly against cabin or aircraft availability? Demand for seats may of course play a part but they continue to operate and for that alone I offer my thanks.

I suspect this just a work in progress. The entries which look strange are the resuming services. I doubt EDI will have a higher frequency than GLA, nor NCL a higher frequency than BHX. Emirates are updating their schedules every few days.

Exactly what I thought gulftraveller ?

I'm starting to get the impression this'll be as good as it gets until either a vaccine is found, or there's a significant change in how aviation is treated (e.g. replacing quarantine with testing).

The big 5 UK airlines are now in a position that they can make it through the winter, but unless Summer 2021 goes VERY well, I think that big 5 will almost certainly become a big 3.

I suspect Rishi Sunak is working a plan to help aviation as it has not been mentioned in any leaks to journalists, only impending doom gleefully reported as fact. The delay in publishing a Budget or Autumn statement to parliament suggests big things are coming and since UK has 2 trillion pounds pounds of debt a few billion of help for the airlines and airports won't be as much a burden with current market rates at near zero per cent.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
