No problem at all, this is a rumour / discussion forum and EK were 100% going to move capacity to BHX and STN and the BHX flight would have run daily for 5 weeks.
Sadly EK resolved their spat with LHR and the plan was scrapped.
BHX loads are often over 400 so our 3rd flight may return at some point, BHX cannot accept the A388 currently, this will be resolved in November.

Bit more from Tim Clark about Heathrow.

The airline and airport later announced a deal to cap sales on flights out of Heathrow through mid-August.

Clark said Emirates could eventually look at transferring one of its six daily Heathrow flights to London Gatwick as part of an agreement to relieve pressure.

“The way we left it with Heathrow (was that) today we still have our six flights operating. What I needed to do with them was to look at how we can possibly switch over one of the flights into Gatwick.”

Last-minute airport curbs are more complicated for Emirates than many European carriers because of the large variety of destinations served beyond its Dubai hub, meaning passengers coming from across the globe can be affected, Clark said.

“Anybody who does this to us obviously is going to incur our wrath ... this is totally unacceptable,” he added.

“We still have to go into battle with regards to some of the draconian measures (that) they are insisting on taking and I don’t really want it to get any more ugly than it has been.”

Will EK bring back the A380 in November or is there a higher chance of the morning flight returning? Or will they just leave it as it is until next summer? Loads have been high so surely BHX should get a capacity increase soon.

I'm not convinced that we'll see the morning flight return (other than one being temporarily displaced from London) but I think the return of the A380 is only a matter of time. It was supposed to return this summer but crewing issues meant it didn't happen. Tom Screen has also said they are expecting it to return so it seems to be a case of when?

Well as pointed out earlier in thread, they have plans to re-introduce another 12 aircraft before the end of the year. Nobody knows what configuration these will be at the minute or what routes.

Assume Gatwick and Manchester to go to full 380 before anything else in the UK if not already (I’m sure both have 3 a day or did and 777 is covering one of those)

Copenhagen will probably go back to 380 if not already.

BKK will probably go back to high density 380s

I think little old brum is well down the pecking order. Just my opinion.

A pessimist is never disappointed 👍🏻😉

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
