One of our ITK posters mentioned about some infrastructure that needed sorting before the A380 could come back to BHX and that the work was scheduled to take place in November, so we won't see anything until then at the earliest.

Heathrow's already back to pre-covid capacity, Manchester will be by the end of October and Gatwick will be from the start of December.

Given the current service is ~70% of pre covid capacity at BHX, we should be inline for some extra capacity hopefully by the end of the year. Upgrading one of the flights to the 2 class A380 would take us back to 85% of pre-covid capacity, whereas 3 daily B777 would actually be more seats than pre covid.

That's correct BHX cannot currently take the A388 this will be rectified in Novemeber

It’s coming in as EK2569 at 1620. Not quite sure why we have to be so weirdly cryptic about it. It’s a public flight not a national secret.

Yes basically it is replacing EK31 that normally goes into LHR.

EK7 EK1 EK29 EK3 and EK5 will run as normal just EK31

Heathrow is stopping all arrivals and departures for 2 hours for the funeral, the Queen will travel from central London to Windsor which is directly under the 27 flight path and 09 flight path, reason is 1) out of respect to the queen 2) the amount of news helicoptors and police helicopters following it to Windsor

Info credit to Sam Jennings who works at LHR (y)

So will BHX see other diverts on Monday, closure for 2 hours is pretty big ?

Im sure the like of Qatar, Ethihad and the US carriers won't want to miss out ?

So I am assuming BHX can now take the A380, looooooooooooooooool

Or will it be parked on a remote stand and not on the main pier ?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
