I`ve stayed in the Crown Plaza, the old old terminal and its a real art deco experience. The dining room is/was arrivals. Loved it..

It was seen flying over the city this afternoon.
A member of the public, who asked not be named, sent a photograph of the plane into the ECHO.

Article regards to Easter Passengers using LPL from Liverpool Business News

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is expecting 65,000 passengers to pass through over the Easter weekend.

This is around 7% below last year’s figure of 70,000 but higher than the 63,000 passengers passing through in 2017 with a mix of destinations including Mediterranean resort or city breaks.

LJLA says the most popular sunshine routes this Easter will be be Barcelona, Malaga, Alicante, Faro and Palma, with city breaks to destinations such as Amsterdam, Krakow, Dublin and Belfast also expected to be popular, along with Copenhagen, the airport’s newest destination.

Robin Tudor, head of PR for LJLA, said: “We expect the Easter getaway once again to bring the busiest weekend of the year so far for the airport.

“It’s no surprise to see a number of Mediterranean destinations proving popular once again as travellers from across the region head off in search of some spring sunshine, taking advantage of the convenience and great range of destinations available direct from Liverpool.”

are the airport seriously advertising this

Liverpool (LPL)easyJet0605Amsterdam (AMS)0840KLM0930Madrid (MAD)1205

They are showing indirect options , which must be useful if you can't get a seat on one of the direct flights.

No hold luggage required, just a short dash with your cabin allowance and 50 minutes should do the trick?

I suppose it depends how desperate you are to get to Madrid. There are connections via Amsterdam which are longer also displayed..

I read stories when fans were trying to get to Kiev with no direct flight tickets getting planes to another country then trains and buses..

Hopefully most with have a seat on one one of the direct services , however I think it was very good that airport displayed indirect options to help fans.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
