Discussions relating to Liverpool Airport
When did Liverpool gain it's version of the LBA bus shelter walkways airside to board aircraft? I'd noticed it on a YouTube video and thought it was LBA

Yes been in use a long time. A new stand Will open near hangars, I think also with covered walkway.

To be fair that's not a great description. But I suspect it's the white plastic and glazed walkways you're referring to. If so, they've been there years
Its what the LBA forumers have named them. They're not hugely popular at Leeds but you can't win, people complained when there was no shelter, now they complain about the shelter. Thankfully though, most stands don't require it anymore. Does Liverpool have any plans to replace it at some point with something more permanent?

As far as I am aware they are stopping . There will be a new stand in a different location to the others soon, and that will also have a covered walkway. The only alternative would be air bridges, these would be very expensive and none of Liverpool's airlines require them, so personally I would think better to spend money elsewhere, such as departure lounge expansion, which I can see being required in the not too distant future.

Personally I have no problem with the covered walkway they get you to where the aircrafts are parked, covered should the weather be inclement , and of course you board quicker with steps at front and back than an air bridge anyway.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
