While in London I saw V8-ALI fly over the Greenwich area, is this the Sultan of Brunei's plane or an airline?

D-AWUE is operating for Germanwings today. Not often that we see something as small as a BAe 146 at LHR?

D-AIZQ which is the new Eurowings livery is operating for Germanwings today.

Today Finnair are operating OH-LWA on flight AY995 from Helsinki which I believe is their first ever A350 service into Heathrow.

Hey guys, can anyone give me some advice? I am tracking flight TP369 from Heathrow to Lisbon via PlaneFinder..... - everyday of the week the plane crosses the channel near isle of wight and goes over jersey, guernsey then hits the north of france. however - every monday the plane seems to fly over devon and cornwall and turns in the celtic sea ten makes its way to lisbon. can anyone tell me wy this is?

Airlines plan their routes according to various parameters such as fuel efficiency, traffic considerations and weather. It is likely the airlines flight planning department think this is the best route to take with flights from Heathrow to Lisbon. The route flying over the sea close to the west coast of France and Portugal is likely to be quieter, this will also mean fewer delays or restrictions. A more direct routing over mainland France maybe more susceptible to delays and restrictions because of the volume of traffic heading onwards to places like Spain.

Hello

The BA815 came in very high at around 2.30pm yesterday (August 10, 2016) and as it passed over perimeter fence the wheels went up and it made a go-around.

Someone near me said that further out it descended very quickly. It must have then gone up again.

Is it possible to find out what happended?

Cheers

Geoff

I think it's very unlikely you're going to be able to find out exactly why but going simply by your account of the event, if the aircraft was too high a faster rate of decent would increase air speed potentially making it dangerous to land so a go around will have been the safest course of action.

Air France will operate a daily B789 ex Wednesday from 6/2/17 till 25/3/17 on
AF1680 arriving 0745. AF1681 departing 0940.

It’s impressive watching the sheer density of widebodies moving through LHR on FR24 during the mid morning transatlantic wave. Even with the ongoing airspace constraints across Europe, the ground handling teams seem to be keeping the turnarounds pretty tight this week. Has anyone noticed any unusual tail substitutions on the morning US arrivals?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
