Looks to be too far east and high for us. BA895 KEF/LHR heading north around Doncaster but too high again.

EK37 holding for BHX. Can hold until 8pm otherwise he is off to MAN but MAN has no room with all the earlier diverts still in, and 2 A380 on the ground.

Was marking them all of as they were departing. Perhaps we may have as many as 3 or 4 on the ground out of the 21 that came in?

I was t looking out for the departures, didn’t see any logs today.

There is a no-diversions except emergencies notam out apparently. Even if there are stands, I suppose it depends whether they have got rid of all the pax, or maybe it's just a change of duty personnel with a different approach.

And that is the enigma. Either have the no-divs notam in place all day or don't have it. It makes MAN look rather foolish to accept 20 + 1 returnee in the day and see most go out, put out a message to the Evening News at 4.30pm that they are on standby for more only to find a couple of hours later that they won't accept anything unless it's an emergency.

I think this will be the first time we have had 3 EK A388 on the ground together too.

So going through the posts, I've come up with this

While I recognise the awful forecasting at times for fog at MAN, but I do wonder if airlines don't always help themselves. There's a couple of flybe and a loganair holding with the RVR reported on the last METAR as 225m. I assume they delayed their departure at origin as fog was forecast (unless ATC imposed restrictions due to expected LVPs), but if they had arrived at MAN at their normal time of 7.30 to 08.00 they would have got in on Cat 1 or Cat2 as some flybe flights did.

Might last a while this fog which is forecast to be more widespread tonight.

Strange to say on this very foggy day.. EZY48RB/ U27002 G-EZGF diverted in from LPL due fog there

So what flights have diverted where this morning?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
