Qatar 788 is heading north at 14,000ft. Could it be going to NCL/EDI?
Cathay Pacific is up to Hong Kong
I think we are also losing EasyJet from SXF, after a go-around.

Qatar has just touched down in GLA.

VS is heading southbound (presumably towards LON)

DXB-MAN and Vueling FCO-MAN both headed towards LGW.

Turning out to be a bit of a disaster in terms of our flights diverting away. Ironically, despite a RYR into LPL having to go round, two of our flights are attempting to land there. We are the worst affected of the main airports by the looks of it.

Have to say from safe inside my home 5 miles to the East, the heavy rain has stopped and my impression was that the wind had dropped slightly. Sadly that coincided with the wind swinging round to north westerly and therefore more of a cross wind at MAN to complicate matters. And if that wasn't enough, the timing happened to coincide with what is quite a busy period for arrivals. Unlucky MAN? Never.

It seems to have subsided a bit and there are now quite a lot of a/c holding - hopefully they will land without trouble including TOM 788 from GOI

I think a couple may have landed but a MON has just gone round. Meanwhile, 3 of our flights got into LPL.

LTN has gusts of 57 knots but it's dry, but I'm not sure if a/c have diverted. Lots of holding for LGW but that's volume of traffic as well as strong winds. Not seen anything divert from there.

Did BHX's QR eventually land there? BHX has really had the rub of the green this winter. Edit: And just to add, although BHX has just had 2 go-arounds, an EZY is diverting there from LPL. BHX has lost 2 or 3 (incl. the QR apparently) but also taken a STN divert!

Thomson from GOI has just landed into LGW (a MAN divert) after nearly 12hrs in the air from India! Etihad has just landed without issue so hopefully the worst is over! :)

Well the good news is that some flights are landing, although the TOM from GOA diverted to LGW where he got an immediate approach with another 12 a/c waiting in the holds. A bit short on fuel one assumes.

Meanwhile elsewhere, go-arounds at BHX for 3 RYR flights, one of which was diverting to EMA which had gusts of 50mph! However, that hasn't deterred another Ryanair diverting from STN which last time I looked was heading for BHX.
Ah, either I was mistaken or he changed his mind and went to EMA. Looks as if another 2 or 3 RYR may be diverting from STN but don't know where to.

Sorry it's a bit off topic for MAN!

Snow closed!!! BA and SR to LPL; LH to BHX and KLM & AA also off to BHX if we don't open when expected.
No other airport affected as far as I can tell.

9 a/c now in the hold and AA off to BHX by the looks of it.

I see tonights Iraqi flight is cancelled. Not sure if they are banned this week or not?

Looks to be an error as LCY arrivals for GR656 show G-COBO routing directly here and G-HUET routing GCI-LCY. GR678 is listed as arrived 1850 at MAN on the MAN website and no sign of GR656.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
