Use this prefix for new threads for Manchester Airport
Amsterdam arrivals showing quite a lot of flights as diverted including the KL676 from Edmonton. A few flights shown as "redirected" whatever that means. Some flights appear to be landing now.

Anyway, a KLM wide body diversion. Is that the first for a while??

EK17 just preforming a go around.

Saw 2 Flybe Dash8's do the same yesterday while at the AVP for the Antonov.

Sunday cold be interesting... 4 to 8 inches of snow forecast for Greater Manchester

I notice the KLM A332 hasn’t departed yet. Let’s hope that the pilot hasn’t threatened to pop the slides again and that things are a bit more amicable this time. One would hope the pax have been taken off by now if it’s not going!

Yes, had to smile when he diverted here with snow forecast!
If the snow keeps falling before it eventually turns to rain on Sunday (temperature 8 degrees in London), it could cause real problems at MAN.

Will the under soil heating work at OT I wonder, or plenty of shovels needed if the United v City game is to be played!

Hi everyone

With reference to User001 and the KLM pax, yes indeed they were taken off the aircraft around 12.30 and bussed through the Transfers Security facility. I had just started my shift at midday, and they were processed through Security to UK standards and taken to the T3 lounge.

Everything went smoothly I have to say with a lot of extra staff drafted in but it took two hours approx to complete the process as there were 250 pax and 8 crew.

The aircrew were out of hours unsurprisingly and another crew were brought from Amsterdam eventually to take the aircraft back with delays due to the weather in the Netherlands and elsewhere in Europe.

The pax were issued with food and drink vouchers to use in T3 and then eventually bussed back to the aircraft for its departure.

Doubtless they are all due compo but that's another issue and given the length of their extended travel period I have to say they were all good natured and hopefully have a good impression of Man airport and our staff who all worked tirelessly to get them through the mandatory security on arrival into the UK.

Cheers everyone from Bilko

A RYR for BHX at 36,000 still a few minutes ago. I assume he's going to NCL or DUB.

A wizz diverting from LTN, more likely to LPL I would think.

Potential one A319 F-GRHU on AFR89PP (AF1164 CDG-BHX) which was holding in the Channel now north of Luton. --- > out as AF384V

4 Ryanair and a Pegasus venturing north. 2 more Wizz went to Doncaster, 1 to Liverpool. That Ryanair that went up to Scotland's made an about turn is at 16000 heading southwards!

Looks as if there are another 2 or 3 Ryanair and a Pegasus possibly heading our way from Stansted.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
