There was a tech issue.

Incidentally, The Transat from Toronto was 4 hours late arriving today, and Cathay Pacific was 7 and a half hours late arriving at 1455 instead of 0630!

There's a Thomson flight due in from Puerto Vallarta but I assume it's been cancelled due to Hurricane Patricia?

Looks like you're right. Can't say i'd like to be stuck out there with 200 mph mean winds with gusts higher.

G-EZOG has gone tech in Corfu,so easyjet sent A320 G-EZOE to operate EZY1980 back to MAN.
Information from a Mancheter mailing group. :hatsoff:

LS476 Channex 1 Victor, DLM-LBA diverting to MAN due to technical issue. Needs longer runway length... Prob with flaps.

Atlas Air B747-800F N503GT in Panalpina livery diverted in earlier due to low cloud at STN.

Only 3rd airline to bring the B747-800 into MAN.

What's the difference with the 800 series?

It has a lengthened fuselage, redesigned wings with raked wingtips like the 77W, and new engines with noise-reducing serrated cowls like the 787.

Its lack of popularity with passenger airlines has been well publicised :s_sad

I think after the simple 100, 200 and the 400 variants and maybe the XP I lost the will to keep up with the numerous differences between all the variations.

I notice Manchester is 200m in Fog at the moment.

Apparently the American Airlines flight from Chicago diverted to Glasgow/Prestwick this morning.

Pilot (again) couldn't accept CAT3 so went to go to PIK, but then developed a tech fault so opted for Dublin instead.

Manchester seems to be clearing now,and clear as a bell now near Stockport.BE7355 MXP-MAN was on the way to diverting to BHX, but headed back north and just landed at Manchester. But like user001 has reported MAN is not excepting any diversions till tomorrow afternoon.

Why is Manchester not accepting diverts at the moment? Is it "work in progress"?

I dont know Aviador, ive read that they dont want to Disrupt their scheduld flights,or it might be lack of gates or handling staff issues.
