Do you honestly think anyone (unlikely) on this forum who might know would spill the beans possibly jeopardising negotiations?
Absolutely. I know someone v well with Liverpool Airport management. Even though im on friendly terms he wouldn't tell me about negotiations and I wouldn't expect him to.

the biggest surprise is when airlines start dropping hints about routes or just a destination in the media e.g.. Delta and Birmingham. A greater surprise is when it's an airport namedropping in articles e.g. MAN recently noting American, United and Virgin.

I know bhx is a low cost airport and I know there’s a lot of demand in North Africa so what are the chances of Nouvelair,Air Cairo and RAM in the next few years.

Be nice to get sun express to operate Bodrum cause I know that the route is proving very popular

What makes you say BHX is a low cost airport ?

If we was a true low cost airport like Luton, EMA etc we would not have EK,QR,SV,LH,AF,LX,SK,SN,AI,TK etc etc.

To be fair you got a point.

Maybe the airport is mostly Low cost but with the odd international.

See I’m thinking of those airlines to increase demand.

For example Pegasus was meant to operate Antalya this summer but it got cancelled due to I don’t know what.

Hopefully Ryanair will increase it’s presence though

Pretty excited for next summer for what it could bring aswell

why the hell do people think that BHX is a low-cost airport.... Over 50% of the airlines that operate from BHX are Full-service airlines compared to the likes of STN/LTN who struggle to get anywhere near that level....

STN = 19x Airlines / 6x Full-service Airlines
(Air Algerie / British Airways / Emirates / Royal Air Maroc / Royal Jordanian / Turkish)

LTN = 10x Airlines / 1x Full-services Airlines
(El Al)

BHX = 24x Airlines / 14x Full-services Airlines
(Aer Lingus / Air France / Air India / Aurigny / Brussels / Emirates / KLM / Loganair / Lufthansa / Qatar Airways / Saudia / SAS / Swiss International / Turkish)

You should compare the BHX departure boards (or even FR24) to other UK airports and I think you’ll find that in comparison to most, BHX is not as low-cost as you believe. And has a lot more than the “odd international”. Remember that sometimes it’s useful to take a step backwards and see the airport for what it really is and be proud of it and how lucky you are that your nearest airport has even half the routes and airlines it does.

BHX has an excellent balance of airlines many airports would love and from recent official statements the near future looks brighter than for a long while

Regarding low cost carriers if they ain't mostly doing 30 min turn rounds they ain't low cost BHX has three.

You keep talking about new aiirlines and services, why ask this question? No one knows which future airlines we are going to attract, the airport will do its homework, the airlines will do their homework, and lets see what develops, just wait and see, guessing airlines will not bring them in!!

Bodrum popular? who says that??? TUI dropped Bodrum thsi year as the sales were poor, so no idea why you say that, do you know the Jet2 load figures on Bodrum then?

So the answer to your question is this

And demand for Bodrum is that we have actually increased capacity on the route this summer with A21Ns on the route so this is the situation I think where bhx build on and take a grip of things.Increase demand on flights where summer has been a success and build up capacity for the next summer.

I personally think and I think you will agree with or maybe not that sun express and Pegasus Birmingham pile drivers for increased capacity in turkey

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
