No surprises their.Still waiting for Jet2 Kavala.Been over a month 😂
That's to even say they'll launch it from BHX. Some of the last few route launches have bypassed BHX eg Strasbourg and La Palma. Instead of adding a Midlands or Scottish airport to La Palma, Jet2 then add Gatwick. So two London airports.......

There’s still time I guess for more routes to come about.La Palma would be great to tick off the list

Actually, the Lufthansa downgrade is even more impactful because the aircraft type of the three daily flights is different. Two of them are on the CRJ900 and only one is on the A320. This means there is a big drop in capacity of 50% but could be wrong because last summer it was all mainline ….

Have Ryanair confirmed its summer 2026 schedule yet as there’s been no announcement. In that case should I expect more in going changes in the schedule

If you had your way fella. You’d have every route on their network at BHX & still want more 😅

Can’t doubt your enthusiasm but sometimes a little realisation is needed that BHX is a small focus on Ryanair’s huge network

Given Ryanair has already commenced selling winter 2026/2027 flights, the summer season appears to be confirmed. However, there is potential for further developments. The crew have rejected their pay increase offer and Ryanair is refusing to proceed.

Great summary of Ryanair S26 from Peter

Just sample checks of the booking engine so not a definitive review and subject to change.

Love or loathe them, it is difficult to ignore them with another base increase to 9 and the number of daily flights approaching 40 - Sunday sees 38 flights and some significant returning destinations.

I have 40 flights on Friday for two the first two weeks in April (extra Faro) but not fully checked later months yet. I I led to believe 4 out of the 9 will be MAX and I think there are at least 3 yet to visit EI-ILR (Porto based), SP-RZX (BGY based) and SP-RZX (STN based).

The most notable of course beside aircraft 9 is the return of Ryanair UK and Sunday sees Tirana and Marrakech twice a week and Agadir on Monday. I have not heard any convincing argument why these flights stopped and restarted but I assume some BREXIT nonsense is at the heart of it. The flights as far as I know will be operated by Ryanair (Ireland) although BHX has several 9H aircraft based again. Also despite 9 based aircraft there are still between 9 and 17 away based flights per day

Always open to debate is what is a new route but in Ryanair spin terms there are several with the three mentioned above and Warsaw Modlin (3 per week) from Tuesday (Buzz Tuesday and Friday, based Saturday)and 4 per week Rome -FCO, Sunday & Friday based but Monday & Wednesday Malta Air (this is technically new as they have never flown BHX-FCO just BHX-CIA).

Sunday sees reinstated or seasonal routes in addition to the above of Corfu, Girona, Toulouse and Ibiza. Tomorrows schedule is nothing short of brilliant really considering what is going on in the world

As ever Perpignan and Zadar have to wait and they are reintroduced in June on based aircraft with Zadar increased to 3 per week.

Lauda not showing for April on Palma but Friday and both Tuesday flights they are listed in May.

Chania, Rhodes (increased) starts this week as does Santander, Reus, Pisa & Stockholm (based aircraft 3 per week) on Monday.

As ever there are many frequency increases, Monday and Thursday see three Alicante flights, Madrid so long not served after 4 airlines pulled off is now 6 per week, Seville 5 per week in April (I can recommend a visit), Valencia 5 per week. Beauvais on a Saturday in April and May has three flights and lots of £15 fares one way.

Some frequencies will decrease when Perpignan and Zadar start but overall until 1st September it is excellent, when once again I believe the extra aircraft is withdrawn for 2 months and back to 8 based.

Destinations this summer if I have it correct total 50

Tirana

Sofia

Zadar

Paphos

Paris-Beauvais, Perpignan & Toulouse

Berlin

Chania

Corfu

Rhodes

Budapest

Cork

Dublin

Knock

Shannon

Milan-BGY, Pisa, Rome-FCO, Venice-TSF, Verona

Malta

Agadir, Marrakech

Bydgoszcz, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Warsaw-Modlin

Faro, Lisbon, Porto

Bucarest-OTP

Alicante, Barcelona-BCN, REU, GRO, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Madrid, Malaga, Murcia, Palma, Santander, Seville, Tenerife, Valencia

Stockholm-ARN

Well with Lufthansa group shutting down Lufthansa cityline does that mean we will see the equipment change or cancelled flights

Just a heads-up to anyone planning a visit to Bergamo's Caravaggio Airport. Today, they have announced that up to 2 one litre bottles can now be carried through security in carry-on bags. No need to take them out of the bag - grappa anyone?

I passed through Bergamo a few days ago and the new security section is both spacious, clean and efficient.

Can't speak for passport queuing though...

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
