This subject seems to fall outside of any specific airline thread but, if the moderators can think of a suitable thread to move it to then please feel free.

The data below is taken from an analysis of domestic flights for Tuesday 6th March 2017, which I believe is classified by ACL as the 'peak' winter week.

As a note, EZE (Eastern) and STK (Stobart) will be operating under BEE (Flybe) codes.

I make that to be about 58 flights a day, but don't know if that would be up to 60 flights a day if we take into account the LCY and 10th LHR flight, which are not listed for obvious reasons (however we run the risk that some of the flights listed above may not run on Fridays, so, a difficult one to call).
 
Brilliant analysis re domestic network.

On average an arr or dep to a UK destination every 15 minutes !

Must be worth shouting about.

Yes, 118 sectors, or 59 return flights.

You also have 13 destinations and this excludes the Channel Isles which I count as 'International'.

I now realise that I have excluded easyJet to Belfast - time to stop eating and reload the data file.:notworthy:

BFS now included. That's an extra 4 sectors on a Tuesday - or 8 on a Friday.

Further analysis - return flights per destination (again based on Tuesday 6th March 2018

Aberdeen (ABZ) - 6
Belfast international (BFS) - 2
Belfast City (BHD) -7
Edinburgh (EDI) - 4
Exeter (EXT) - 3
Glasgow (GLA) - 8
Inverness (INV) - 4
Isle of Man (IOM) - 5
Heathrow (LHR) - 9
Newquay (NQY) - 1
Norwich (NWI) - 3
Southend (SEN) - 3
Southend (SOU) - 5

That's a pretty good bit of the country covered -just need the Highlands and Islands from Loganair and we would be made. Anyone for a flight to Barra(BRR)?

I'll give you that and also Benbecula, but I have excluded them from my list as they would duplicate departures and frequencies.
 
The generally diverse domestic offering is welcome news but the insane head-to-head competition on GLA-MAN is a serious concern. Both carriers will bleed cash on this already marginal route for as long as the stand-off persists. And Transpennine offer direct trains too. I hope common sense prevails before real harm is done. Our domestic carriers do not have the financial strength to sustain a childish bunfight like this.

Out of interest the frequency of flights on a Friday is only 1 up on Tuesday - and that's due to the inbound LCY.

The updated data below is taken from an analysis of domestic flights for Tuesday 6th March 2017, which I believe is classified by ACL as the 'peak' winter week.

The Heathrow service has been reduced by one return flight per weekday. Loganair still only show a maximum of 4 return flights to Glasgow despite other information that says it may be increased to up to 6 flights.

As previously noted, EZE (Eastern) and STK (Stobart) will be operating under BEE (Flybe) codes.

Loganair to GLA seems to be 6 daily up until mid-Dec so could be a staggered release of flights?

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.

15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
