Are TUI due to fly the max 10 and do we think we will see from BRS? I did wonder if that was due to replace the 757’s although I know they now have more aircraft and capacity overall based out if BRS.

Tui are reducing Melbourne and Cancun next summer to a weekly service each only

I wonder if sales on both routes in general aren't good because they've cancelled their programme for Edinburgh.

Some winter cuts for TUI at BRS to TFS, ACE, LPA FUE and HRG!

Jet2 affect giving a little overcapacity maybe?

Could be and add in the cost of living crisis which means that people have less money to spend in the first place.

Definitely! A great deal of holidays taken this year were paid for in late 2020/early2021. I think there will be a consolidation in 2023 and, hopefully, steady growth from then.

The winter cuts are principally dec to feb , resume mostly in March. Don’t forget easyjet has increased its Tenerife to daily , hurghada to three per week and lanzarote to 4/5 per week and fue to up to 3 per week. Tui of course book seats on easyjet

Not at all surprised with MLB given that some of the early S22 rotations barely had enough to fill an A321

Generally, it was a very bold move by TUI to move from SFB in order to serve their own cruise market - which has clearly not worked as most pax to the Orlando area want Disney/Universal and MLB is just that little bit too far.

Nonetheless the route continues! (y)

Tbh the Covid testing requirements earlier in the summer to enter the USA together with the vaccination requirements ( particularly for kids) might have put many off going to Florida . The rules have changed and taken a lot of stress off families wanting to go the USA.

The twice weekly bodrum service has been dropped for next summer ( mon and thurs ) together with one rotation mentioned before each to Melbourne (fl) and cancun. I cannot see any replacements so is Tui going to reduce based aircraft next summer maybe ?

Have Tui dropped Orlando and Cancun for next summer - disappeared off the website

Also appears to be big reductions on other routes too include Minorca disappearing. Perhaps they are resetting the schedule ?

The loss of the two long haul routes is a big blow to the airports prestige and its status as the fourth largest Tui base. Without those two I can’t see a Dreamliner next year which will mean big reductions in seats available to the likes of Cyprus and Turkey . Looking at the schedule its pessimistically a 4 with a possible 5th but given the dropping of the like of Minorca and Bodrum there could easily be some dropping of frequencies to the likes of kos and Rhodes to come. I hope it’s just a rescheduling tho - seem to remember it happening at Edinburgh a month or two ago - surprised Bristol live not on it yet tho

Fingers crossed it's just a schedule update. We've seen similar before where more or less based aircraft suddenly appear on the schedule only for it to rectify itself a few weeks later. We're still a long way off S23, so there's plenty of time between now and then for these routes to reappear. Obviously the pound vs dollar and expensive fuel might mean less longhaul flights for TUI, but it doesn't mean the 787 is to disappear from BRS, it might be based shorthaul only?
Bottom line is that the current schedule requires 4-5 based aircraft in the mornings, and up to 7 some afternoons. Nowhere near a complete schedule yet.

With the long haul flights it's quite possible that demand is less for holidays to the USA and Mexico due to the economic downturn. Personally I'd be very surprised if TUI didn't base at least 5 737s at BRS for Summer 2023.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
